I chose this specific picture because of the lights reflecting off the building and the reflection of the museum that places itself on the water. What also stands out to me is the top center of the building where one can see the circular ceiling of color. Because of this, I researched the Negev to find out that it is significant because of its relationship to the Bible. The Negev was considered a pastoral region in Biblical times. In Hebrew, Negev is dry or wipe dry. The Negev was a thriving agricultural area. However, as I researched more I found that there is a nuclear research site in Negev. This saddened me but brought me back to thinking about the current state of affairs between the U.S and the Middle East. I chose this specific site because of the bottom-up perception I have when viewing this picture.
