"My tummies turning and I'm feeling kind of homesick." This quotes directly relates to the chapter because the boys are scared that they are stranded from home. "That's right, can't catch my breath. I was the only boy in school with asthma."[9] The lyrics relate with Piggy because they just arrived at the island and are anxious.

He is stained by all the vicissitudes of a days hunting."[49] The song Animal by Natalie Taylor describes Jack. The lyrics that connect Jack with Animal are "I'm a different animal, animal. You can't hold me back, back no more. Won't let you hold me back because I'm a different animal."

Chapter 4 is all about identity loss. "The smaller boys were known now by the generic title of littluns."[59] The song that best describes this chapter i Identity by Blaze. "Who am I, what is me. I'm losing my identity. Who am I, what is me, somethings taking over." This exert clearly shows and describe the loss of individuality. They no longer are called by their own names, they're described as a group now.

Song: War Pigs by Black Sabbath

The Song War Pigs very much relates to chapter five. One connection between the song and the chapter is the line "Gen'rals gathered in their masses," This relates to how Jack Jack essentially begins his manipulation to gain an army to kill the beast. Another line that relates is " Poisoning their brainwashed minds" this relates due to Jack poisoning the minds of the little uns to believe that the beast is real. A final line that relates is "Politicians hide themselves away" This line relates due to even though Ralph, the politician, calls an assembly to talk about the fire going out he does not actually do anything about it instead hiding and talking with Piggy and Simon.

Song: The Wolf by SIAMÉS
The wolf relates to chapter 6 when it comes to the beast one line that relates to the beast is "Each and every day Hiding from the sunshine wandering in the shade". This relates because the beast throughout the chapter is never seen in the day only at night making all of the children on the island more afraid. This line from the song also relates to how no one truly sees what the beast really is so it is like the beast is hiding from the sunshine or in other words the children on the island. Another quote from the song that relates is "I'm out of my head of my heart and mind". This relates to the chapter because the beast is really as the line says something that came out of the children on the islands head and mind.

Song: Losing Hope by Jack Johnson

The chapter starts off with Ralph losing faith in many things that is happening among the group. Ralph begins realize and question the way he leads the people on the island. The book states, "He discovered with a little fall of heart that these were the conditions he took as normal now." (110). The realization that they went from well-dressed, school boys to roughed-up, half naked, pig hunters. Ralph also loses faith in rescue. The chapter states, "Then gradually the almost infinite size of this water forced itself on his attention. This was the divider, The barrier." Aswell as: "But here, faced with the brute obtuseness of the ocean, the miles of division, one was clamped down, one was helpless." (111). These quotes sums up how hopeless Ralph felt while looking at the Ocean. All these connect to the lyrics "Losing hope is easy when your friend is gone." Ralph starts thinking these deep thoughts and succumb to his sorrows when Piggy and Simon isn't there to help him. Near the end of the chapter, we see Ralph having entranced in 'the thrill of the hunt.' The song verse "I got a stranger's friend, an exciting change in my butchers blend." This describes the whole scenario very well. Ralph goes off with Jack and friends to hunt pigs and it turns out that hunting is fun and is a fun change of pace in his life as of now.

Song: Mr. Fear by SIAMÉS

The song Mr. Fear relates to the chapter with the psychological effect from the beast. In the first verse the song states "I've come to mind control your needs" relating to the Lord of the Flies stating "You'd better run off and play with the others. They think your batty" (143). The beast starts playing on Simon's insecurities and attempts to manipulate him into joining Jack and the others in their horrible deeds. Another line in the song that relates to the Lord of the Flies is when the chorus sings: "You know I will never disappear, Now get me out of here, Just trust in me my dear, No cure is coming near." It's the perfect line describing how the "beast" is part of everyone. The beast even states, "You knew didn't you? I'm the reason why it's no go? Why things are what they are?" (143) saying up front that he is the reason why the kids are acting the way they are, he has already possessed them. The line, "You know perfectly well you'll only meet me down there-so don't try to escape." also ties with the Chorus; both stating that they are part of that person and escape is futile. The last reason why this song fits this chapter is in the bridge of the song stating, "I know is not real, But is in my soul, And I can just try, To face the darkness inside my head." The bridge is about how this evil is inside the persons head and it relates to the lines, "Simon found he was looking into a vast mouth. There was blackness within, blackness that spread." and "Simon was inside the mouth. He fell down and lost consciousness." (144) In summary Simon also has this evil in his head and can only try to stop it.

Song: Run Boy Run WOODKID

Run Boy Run very much relates to chapter 9 particularly to Simon. One line in particular " Run boy Run, The secret inside of you" Really relates with Simon knowing that "the beast" is just a dead guy with a parachute, and that is why Simon is running. However, this information is kept a secret because of his death. Another line that connects to Simon is "This world is not made for you". Which relates to how much Simon is mistreated throughout the chapter and the book. Simon, throughout the whole book, is seen as different. He is seen as being kind and appreciates nature, leaving the island alone from being destroyed. He also demonstrates a deeper understanding of what the beast might actually be and. A final quote from the song that relates is "They are dying to stop you". This relates to Simon trying to tell everyone that the beast is the parachutist but, Jack and his tribe try to kill him before he gets to say a word. Jack especially tried to stop Simon, whether he knew it was Simon or not, to prove that being in his tribe will grant you power. With Simon failing to tell everyone Jack is able to manipulate the continued fear of the beast to stay in control by promising protection from said beast.

Song: Warriors by Imagine Dragons

The song Warriors by imagine dragons can very much relate to chapter 10 by representing the development of Jacks tribe as, in their eyes, warriors. One way is with the line "we are the warriors who built this town, from dust." This relates to near the beginning of the chapter where Jack and his tribe are building their new home on castle rock. They do truly build up a town from dust with only some spears and a pocket knife. The line from the song also represents another point in the chapter with Jack in the end failing to truly build a town from nothing. Instead of making fire on his own, Jack decides to take the lazy way out showing it is very difficult to, as the song says, build a town from dust without the help of others. Another quote from the song that relates is " 'Cause this will be the labor of my love". This relates to the chapter because this is the chapter Where Jack finally gets the fruit of his labors where he is chief and all he and his tribe does is hunt all day.

Song: Monster by Imagine Dragons

The song Monster by imagine dragons relates to chapter 11 by describing the transformation of Jack and his tribe to being essentially monsters. For example The line in the song "Ive turned into a monster". This is seen in the chapter where Jacks tribe completes their transformation into Monsters especially when they murder Piggy in cold blood and not thinking that the person murdered was another human being like Simon. An additional example would be Jack and his hunters kidnapping Samneric and subsequently torturing them. Another line that relates to this chapter is "If I told you what I was, Would you turn your back on me?" This relates due to Jack showing what he truly is when he "snatched one of the few spears that were left and poked Sam in the ribs."[182] Jack continued to torture Sam showing Jack's true side; a blood thirsty monster. Knowing these actions, none of the tribe members stop Jack for committing inhuman deeds or try to change leaders. Instead they allow a monster of a leader to stay in power. One final line of the song that relates to the chapter is "Everything I touch isn't dark enough. This relates because what ever Jacks tribe does or interacts with becomes more dark and perverted. One example of this is with Jack having Piggy's glasses. This is because before Jack stole the glasses the glasses were an item that symbolized logic. After Jack gets a hold of it though the glasses become an Item that leads to illogical ideas with the glasses causing the senseless death of Piggy. One of the main reasons Piggy died was just due to him trying to retrieve his glasses. Thus as the line in the song implies whatever Jack touches becomes much much darker.

Song: Bloody Stream by Coda

One line “mystify the darkness dodge in a blink” does connect with chapter 12 where Ralph uses the cover of night to move around the Island as well as talk with Samneric and Find a place to hide. He uses the darkness as cover keeping his whereabouts unown and mysterious because the savages can not see him. Another line that relates is "Avoid the blade find an opening to strike" This line relates to the point in the chapter when Ralph encounters one of the savages and must dodge in a blink and strike so he is not discovered or killed. A final line that relates to the chapter is "Conviction tested opens the way to the future" this relates to the whole chapter where Ralph's conviction that the fire is the most important thing is tested by Jacks tribe who want him dead because of Ralph's conviction. This leads to Jack lighting the island on fire which opens the way to the future with the naval vessel seeing the smoke from the island and saving the children
