- I don’t believe the mission has been successful because the country has many long-term structural issues. The Beirut explosion decimated the city. The mission may have been going well at the start but the Beirut explosion and Covid have set them back. Steps to help the people have failed as the former government resigned and Saad Hariri was made Prime Minister and set to make a new administration but with no success.
