         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are 2 languages in English —&nbsp;latinate/French words and Germanic/Anglo Saxon words. </p><p><br></p><p>Anglos Saxon words are more sonic — closer to the reader, shorter. They are used when we want to communicate effectively: FUCK OFF. French, latinate words have lots of "shsssh" sounds that dilute the important strong vowel sounds.</p><p><br></p><p>Latin words are longer — like "perfume" not Anglo Saxon like "stink."</p><p><br></p><p>We hear the sound of words as we read.</p><p><br></p><p>It is important to consider the distance to the reader as we write, — do we want to be intimate or to be more objective at an distance?</p><p><br></p><p>Do you want to have language act like an invisible window pane or do you want it to have a bit of character/visible flavour? Will Self or Hemingway. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
