         <title>Role of government in creating public policy</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Public policy is the plan of action adopted by government decision makers to solve a problem or reach a goal. &nbsp;<br><br>State and local governments enact laws that specify public policy in many areas. &nbsp;<br><br>Voting Laws- states have moved to add more requirements to vote.&nbsp; Fraud is the main reason cited. &nbsp;<br><br>Environment- Government wants to balance energy needs and environmental safety&nbsp;<br><br>Role of the government is to look at an issue and create a policy that will benefit the majority of the factors.  (Consumers, environment, economy)  The policies are to protect the majority.  </div>]]></description>
