I know today the process involves artificial insemination, but way back in time when that was not available is what should be focused on. In this instance, the circumstance is acceptable which removes this certain act out of the mortal sin category, and out of the sin category completely. This is a minor violation in comparison to mortal sins and can be easily corrected because it only sickens relationship between individual and God, not completely break it. However, instances in which you are startled, it is understandable if you accidentally release a curse. You may stub your toe and instantly curse words are triggered without you even thinking about.
