Today, we were introduced to our new project, which is unit 6 & 5. The Unit is called "Tell us a story." 

In this unit, we are going to investigate visual and audio effects within media. This is an important unit because it creates important techniques for later projects, helping us improve on the quality of our next projects.

What did you learn? How?

We had learned how to creatively find out the solutions to issues within Photoshop, this is important otherwise we could lead to time wastage and difficulties producing the E-book. We had created a document, showing how we had solved the issues as well as writing down what we did so we wouldn't be stuck next time.

Additionally, we had looked through the creative brief given to us by the book publishers, Bloomsbury Books. Me and my team mate had circled important guidelines we had got from their specification. For example, the book must be for children between 0 to 11 year olds and that it must be a minimum of 8 pages. So we had created a mindmap we portrays our notes, which you can find above!

what skills did you develop?

Today, I feel that I had learned new techniques to use within Photoshop. Even though I have experience using the program, I feel that this had benefited me and will make production with this program much quicker. This will enable me to use much more advanced techniques later on for the project!

What do you need to improve? How can you do this?

I really feel strongly that I need to improve on my audio techniques, I actually have no previous knowledge with any industry programs and this can make it harder to create professional recordings for the E-book. I can overcome this issue however by sitting down and learning some techniques.

During my Photoshop Workshop, I had found two issues when doing the work. -fill in once sheet is done.

what are the next actions you need to take to produce your Ebook successfully?
