In 1969-2000, times were difficult. They didn't have advance technology that we have today, yet they had less air pollution. They were able to use coal fields, solar heaters, shell oil, and nuclear accelerators. In 1962, Rachel Carson publishes "Silent Spring". It shows the detrimental effects of pesticide, especially on birds. Scientists confirmed a hole in the ozone layer. They were able to use coal fields, The clean act then passed in order to help their little pollution.

This time period was the beginning of the environmental issues, concerns, and interactions, positive or negative. The first civilizations used coal, animals, and oil. Many civilizations also started doing deforestation, like the Romans. After some civilizations realized that these were hurting them, they passed laws, to fix them, like Germany. Other civilizations did nothing and eventually died.

In this time frame we had a lot of problems with the environment. We had the first commercial natural gas well in the United States dug. We had a series of epic droughts caused by the El Nino-Southern Oscillation climate pattern leads to dramatic crop failures in tropical areas around the world and lead to the largest famines in history. We also had the infamous "Dust Bowl" in the Great Plains, caused by droughts and unsustainable farming practices. But, we had some good times. Congress passed the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Both are later incorporated in the Endangered Species Act. We used Solar Cells, Solar energy, oil, gas, coal, and wood.

In the beginning of of 1969-2000 people were destroying the environment. By dumping toxic waste in oceans causing birth problems, and effecting ocean waters and wildlife. Energy sources are being cared a crosses the ocean and spilling causing massive fires and breaking dams , destroying nature and causing pollution. But now we started NOAA and started recycling programs to stop the pollution.

The environmental issues were flooding because of the battles, pollution, droughts, and soil erosion. Some colder temperatures affect crops. The sources of energy they used were animals, solar, and wood. They also used oil for light and they used coal too. The protection measures were that the Roman senate passes a law to protect water. Also Colonial Governor William Penn issues charter of rights. The charter of rights is making sure that Pennsylvania settlers preserve 1 acre of tress for every 5 acres cleared.

In 1969-2000 it was rough, there was air pollution and atomic dumping. The air pollution was from the fossil fuels so the gas, coal, and oil. There was a lot of oil and chemicals in the water and that is why the Cuyahoga river caught fire 13 times in 1969.

A 3 year warming has been detected in 2017. This warming is caused by the exessive use of coal, oil, and gas. When these pollutants are released into the atmosphere they creat a blanket that traps in the suns heat. One side effect the warming will have is it will cause glasers to melt taking away certain ecosystems for different types of animals. This will also result in the 2020 water stress in Africa. Agriculture in Africa will not have as much water decresing the food by 50 percent. Peolple are trying to slow this proses down by using less fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas). Another way we are trying to slow this down by recycaling and using renewable resourses like solar, wind, and other plants and animals to make our products.

In 1801 through 1968 there was a lot of environmental negative issues but also positive issues. Some of these negative issues are when the cholera epidemic strikes New York City killing 3,000 people and when the passenger pigeon went extinct. The positive is when the U.S. congress passed the bald and golden eagle protection act.
