Also contains CSF </p><p>Brain- Controls cognitive movements, thoughts, emotions, homeostasis, heart rate, and other functions. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the Abdominal Cavity we have:</p><p><strong>Abdomen</strong> (Abdomen) - breathing, digestion, movement, balance, and posture</p><p><strong>Stomach</strong> (Gaster) - break down food and move it into small intestine</p><p><strong>Liver</strong> (Hepar) - produces bile, processes nutrients, and regulating blood sugar</p><p><strong>Gallbladder</strong> (Vesica biliaris) - stores and concentrates bile </p><p><strong>Pancreas</strong> (Pancreas) - has hormonal and digestive functions</p><p><strong>Small Intestine</strong> (Intestinum tenue) has three parts - duodenum, jejunum, ileum - breaks down food and absorbs nutrients</p><p><strong>Large Intestine</strong> (Intestinum crissum) includes - cecum, colon, and the rectum - absorb water and nutrients from undigested food, and then form stool to be eliminated</p><p><strong>Spleen</strong> (Lien) - filters blood, stores blood cells, and produces WBC and antibodies</p><p><strong>Kidney </strong>(Renes) - filters waste from blood, balance electrolytes, and produces urine</p><p><strong>Adrenal Glands </strong>(Glandulae suprarenales) - produces hormones that regulate bodily functions </p>]]></description>
