not for the comm to create a secular camp environment, and not let operations be the crux (not that its not important) but spaces to experience God. pray for room for God to move/work

not for the comm to beat ourselves up if things don't go according to plan. and for wisdom and foresight of whatever in the comm's ability to manage it, and trust that God will use this camp for His glory and the participants be blessed by it

for God to prepare the hearts of each participant coming for yam retreat, and for our comm as well for God to minister to us through our service in helping prepare for yam retreat

May they decrease and you increase. For all the moderators of the panel and questions, grant us wisdom, discernment and sensitivity in filtering the questions and facilitating the discussion. Abba, humble us and give us a glimpse of how you work in any given situation. 

I ask father that the questions that are asked are real and authentic. I ask for your spirit of truth to be present at the retreat and especially at the panel, so much that attendees will feel promptings and desires to ask questions concerning issues which have been weighing so heavily on their hearts, whether it is to do with mental health, sexuality, family concerns, loneliness, trauma, abuse, or whatever other secret pain our brothers and sisters are enduring. May Jesus bring these matters into the light, for it is in your light that these matters lose their hold over us. 

For the committee — use us, mould us, shape us and light in us a consuming fire for a pursuit of you. Prepare their hearts to desire an encounter with You whether afresh, or for the first time. 

Cover the committee, the yam team, pastor/lay leader/speakers/panelists and all other mentors attending retreat with your protection from all flaming errors physical or spiritual. Open their eyes that they may see things as You see them and love Your people as You  love them.

My heart goes out to the retreat participants. I hope that they would enjoy the company of community — to find it to be warm, welcoming and inclusive. I hope they would get to meet with God and encounter him afresh or for the first time. I wish that they would taste and see that He is indeed God — a true, real, and loving King. 

My heart also goes out to leaders in our church — connect group leaders, worship leaders, ministry leaders, and shepherds. I hope that those who feel jaded would find refreshment. May they find renewed purpose for what they do, and encouragement through their interactions at retreat. 

My heart goes out to the broken, despondent and lonely. I hope that they will find comfort and healing through community and through personal wrestlings with God.
