This year, I went to Key West, my favorite place in Florida. I love how calm the sea is, how deep, vast, and alive it feels. The air swirled my hair into curls, which was noticeable when I rode the water motorcycle. I have the best sleep on the sand, the song of the palm trees in my ears. I also touched a dolphin for the first time; they are intelligent and beautiful animals, although I'm unsure how to feel about the "captivity" part. But they seem taken care of.

Washington DC

In 2024, I went to Washington, DC; it was one of the best trips I've ever done. I loved seeing the history of the US and the fantastic historical buildings. I also made great friends with Christine and a new friend (Cory) on this trip. Christine is now one of my close friends, and Christine and I made a trio. Now we have a lot of inside jokes like fish god and stupid dog (chihuahua). I loved seeing the capital of the US, and I think its history is fascinating. I got very emotional in Vietnam when I read a letter that a dad wrote to his son and the holocaust museum, where I watched a very gory video of severed limbs and numb bodies, and this is where I cried. Overall, though, I loved this place and hope to revisit it.

This year was also an excellent year for my art. I tried to lean into more full pieces of art that have backgrounds that help the art pop. The lightest ones are the ones that, online, I'm most proud of. I love how the bright light reflects on the person in the middle. The rest are traditional pieces of art that I'm proud of. They either went into bids or contents. I made the one in the middle by myself in my home, and I'm proud of it because of the contrasts of colors.

Japan

Ok I know I said that all the past trips were the best but this one was the best trip I’ve ever gone on. My trip to Japan was honestly a dream come true. A Japanese culture, entertainment, and cities are the best ever. And I loved going around museums buying souvenirs and enjoying with my family. I loved how calming and clean the streets of Japan were. Although the heat was unbearable my smile didn’t leave. I loved the temples and the Japanese culture all around you, overall 12\10 trip.

This year was a fantastic year for music. I found my love for hip-hop and punk. My favorite artists are Khali Uchis, Tyler the Creator, Gorillaz, and Erykah Badu. My top 5 songs this year are Desolé, After the Storm, She’s My Collar, and Tommy Boy. These songs and artists are honestly making me want to write songs myself. I hope you accomplished it! (as well as got back to guitar) Also, Noodle is my favorite character in the Gorillaz band right now, and my favorite album is Song Machine.

For my favorite shows and influencers, there are four. For influencers, there is Moriah Elizabeth, who I've been watching since I was 6 or 7, and Markiplier, who I've watched on and off. For shows, there is One Piece, which I've been watching since 2020, and Scott Pilgrim, which I've only gotten this year. There is a new live-action adaptation of One Piece, and it's one of the best I've ever seen. They captured the character's personalities and looks perfectly and shortened the story in a way that still feels like it's all in there. The CGI is excellent as well. I wish the kid actors looked a little more like their older versions but just as kids. In the actual show, I'm on episode 918, season 13 of 1102 episodes, and 14 seasons, almost there! As for Scott Pilgrim, I think the show and the movie are done very well and capture what's in the comics. The film is hilarious and has great actors; I dislike Ramona's hair (the wig). As for the show, everything is perfect. The story's style and twist are great, and I loved the ending.

This is currently one of my favorite things going around tick took. I have no idea why it makes me laugh so much, it’s honestly based on such a dumb idea. Basically when you have problems saying sentences you studdered, so they took it to the next level. When the guy in the car tells the other guy his fast food order the other guy says a completely different thing, and gets mad.

My life has been remodeled in numerous ways physically and mentally. I’ve grown my hair out and learned how to take care of it. I've also paid more attention to my appearance in an unharming way. I've recently had two experiences where people had told me I look way different in the past week. One was at a dentist where the lady expressed to me that when she first saw me I was stubby and miniature but now that I’ve grown and size and look like a “lady”. Another one was yesterday where a substitute for Mrs.Fleitas class ,Spanish 3 Speakers, told me that I look different. Ive havent seen him in a couple weeks so I was surprised. I never notice a difference in myself but people can notice it so rapidly. I’ve never seen myself getting “bigger” or “maturing” but other people have. But what I've noticed is that my art has reformed. I pay attention to it so for me it's an obvious change. If you open up my procreate , an app I use to draw digitally, and click on a past drawing you will see a large difference. You will notice exactly what i'm trying to do. First you will see a change in anatomy and style. That the face looks more proportionate as well as the body. The colors fit together like a perfect puzzle and not like a forced one. You will also see a change in my digital materials now I only use two brushes one for blocking color and another one for detailing. If you zoom into my art today you will see little tiny details that bring the piece into one. I’ve self taught myself how to see life in a way that would help my art. And I think that's the biggest difference.

Even tho ive been growing in many ways in the shortest amount of time my advice to myself is still the same. I would tell my past self and current self three things: be more positive, be more productive, and to not worry so much. At the start of the school year I saw an immense shift in my workflow. In 7th grade it used to be unproductive but not as bad as me having to sleep at 2 am almost everyday. I didn't know how to handle the workload and my procrastination didn't help either. I used to send myself into a swirl and think of all the better things that I could do and enjoy rather than do the stack of homework they assigned that day. I thought of drawing, playing guitar, playing games, and watching shows. But I stopped myself. I said “I don't want to do homework but I can't do other productive things first because homework comes first,” so I just went to different apps like YouTube and Tiktok to give me a sense of accomplishment and nourishment. But that's the worst thing I've ever done. Because now I struggle with letting my phone down looking at my assignments and focusing. This has a chain of events to make me wake up early in the morning with not enough sleep, to make everything feel like it's a burden, to make all my thoughts negative. Which leads to my second advice to bed more positively. It ultimately touches my last thought to not worry about the things you can’t change. Myself back in the beginning of the year and now can’t change the world and its problems. Not only is it too much for a person to handle but that i'm just a 13 year old kid. And I don't believe I should be worrying about wars and AI: the downfall of our world. I believe that I would shut it away from my life and focus on what’s important. Which is myself and the load I carry as myself.

Ukraine and Russian War

The Russian and Ukrainian wars all started when the Russians unanimously invaded Ukraine. In 2022, tho, the Russians started a full-blown invasion on Ukrainian grounds. Even tho the Russians had the upper hand at first, Ukraine began to counteract the attacks on their country. With foreign help from the United States, the war continues today.

Palestine and Israeli War

When Great Britain took over an area of land called Palestine, there used to be a minority of Jews and a majority of Arabs. The two groups began to dislike each other. No one wanted to leave the land, but several Jews started to move there. So, Britain created the “state of Israel.” Palestinians started fleeing, and the Jewish population took over the majority. Ever since then, they’ve had problems like what will happen to the Palestinian refugees, Jewish settlements in the West, if they should share Jerusalem, and if a “Palestinian state” should be created. This has caused the Palestinian and Israeli conflict.
