I think that when teens contemplate suicide they are in a end all be all state meaning that there is only one solution to there problems and there is no other way to solve them. Teens are also not completely developed and are dealing with so many emotions and hormonal changes in which they haven't learned healthy ways to cope with yet.Some teens act on it because they feel they have no other choice and may not have the proper support system to help them see otherwise. They see suicide as the easy way to end all there problems.
2a. Alex Standall is on Hannah's list because he voted her "best ass" which brought her unwanted attention and sexual advances which made her uncomfortable.It also made Jessica think that Hannah was the reason her and Alex broke up 2b. I think that overall he wasn't the worst character and person that contributed to Hannah's suicide and that he just made a mistake that came from anger. He felt ashamed and upset after which eventually played a part in his own attempted suicide 2c. She could have communicated to him better and let him know how his actions made her feel and the discomfort it brought her.
