First of all Frishcmann introduces the audience a new Word: drawdown. He explains that drawdown is a new way of acting and thinking about global warming, which aims to reverse global warming. He points out that all of us are aware and concerned about climate change whereas we should be concerned about global warming since climate change is a consequence of global warming.

Frischmann says that humanity already knows what to do in order to prevent and maybe reverse global warming. He claims that humanity should avoid putting greenhouse gases up! According to him we have workable technologies and practices that can achieve drawdown by accelerating implementation and to change the discourse from one of fear and confusion, which only leads to apathy, to one of understanding and possibility, and therefore opportunity.

Project Drawdown is an organization that Frischmann works for; as the organization they assert that they have measured and detailed 100 solutions to reversing global warming. Eighty already exist today, and when taken together, those 80 can achieve drawdown. And 20 are coming attractions, solutions on the pipeline.

The new solutions are mostly based on; replacing existing fossil fuel-based energy generatioon with clean, renewable sources; reduce consumption though technological efficiency and behaviour change; and to bio sequester carbon in our plants.

Some examples of the solutions: Rooftop solar systems (which aims to reduce emissions), protecting currently degraded lands in the tropics (aims to allow natural regeneration) and Regenerative agriculture (aims to restores soil health and productivity, increases yield, improves water retention, benefits smallholder farmers and large farming operations alike and brings carbon back to the land) .

Frishcmann lastly states that drawdown is possible and quite easy, and claims if we implement these solutions, we shift the way we do business from a system that is inherently exploitative and extractive to a new normal that is by nature restorative and regenerative.

Ted-Ed released a video called “What really happens to the plastic you throw away” by Emma Bryce in 2015. In the video, Bryce shows us the story of three empty discarded plastic bottles. Each bottle’s story is different than the others. First bottle ends up in a landfill and each day dump gets expands. When rainwater flows through the waste it absorbs the water-soluble compounds it countians and it becomes “Leachate” which is highly toxic and it can move into groundwater, soil and streams. It poisons environment and animals. It takes 1,000 years to decompose. Second battle floats on stream which brings the battle to the ocean. After months it comes into a massive vortex where trash accumulate which is called Great Pacific Garbage Patch. There are five gyres and millions of plastics comes there. Some animals eat these plastics and they pass the toxins from plastic up the food chain therefore when we eat tuna, we also eat toxins as well. Third bottle throw in to recycle bin and it comes to the factory where they become the raw material that can be used again.

STUFF released a video named “The Story of Bottled Water” in 2010 in which explains the manufactured demand of bottled water. In the video, it claims that the reasons why we choose bottled water rather than trap water is because bottled water industries attacks on tap water. Video states that bottled water industries use manipulative, environmental themed to advertise their bottled water such as they cover up bottles with a beautiful mountain. The video suggests their viewers to take back the tap water for sustainable and healthier lives.
