This is because rule 8 is “You may lie.” This can ruin Jonas’ relationships with his friends and group mates. He can probably get punished for lying and can be really devious about his choices. Jonas was trained not to lie and stocked with that for a long time, so he would have to adapt with the rules he has to follow. And the fact that his other friends and group mates might also get the same rules like lying. Another rule that surprised me was rule number 6, which was not to apply medications.
