This book called lost boys is really good, it has good grammar. This book has really good hand writing that students should learn from. The comas, periods and punctuation come at the right time when telling the story and it also help me read it. The word choices are really good to. The word choice helps make the story make sense and when i look those words up that I didn’t know i learn a new word that is now in my vocabulary. It’s school appropriate for students. The word choice of this book is clean, it has no slangs, no bad choice of words and educational words that most students might not know so students can learn a new word everyday.

Compare with the books events to the time in history

This book has a lot of stuff that relates to time in history like war and being a prisoner of war. Reza the main book character has to go through things like the this, his country has a law that is being used on families to give their child to the army because the child is 12 years old or older and they are used in war so i think that this has a lot to do with history. The war that took place in the “lost boys” book written by darcy rosenblatt was based in 1982 and the war was the Iraq vs Iran or Sunni vs Shiite. The war has been going on for centuries before the time of Reza. The Asian, African, and middle western countries use child soldiers for various of reason and one of those reasons are they are easy to control, if they don’t follow those orders they will get abused and manipulated, and that if children are sacrifices during war then it will bring glory to their god.

If this book was written in a different time or place how might it be different?

If this book was written in a different time or place that it will totally different and here’s why. If this book was written for example in the United States California 2022 then it would be totally different from Rezas perspective. Rezas setting and time is Iraq 1982 and its about an Iraq an Iran war, now we don't know the United States one yet but lets take a guess. So my guess about this book is that it could be about a middle schooler or high schooler who gets cyber bullied on snapchat, instagram, TikTok or etc. and he/her eventually gets depressed and suicidal and his parents notice him because he was crying and his expressions was unusual when getting off the bus stop. his/her parents gets mad and calls the school principle and the bullies finally get suspended for bullying. This is my way of thinking about a 2022 American book and its based off of my perspective of the generation we live in and i’m a teenager who wrote this so this is my opinion on a 2022 American book.
