He wants it clear that he loves him and that he cares for him in every way.

2. If I were Abraham I'd feel a bit annoyed with God. This is because being constantly repeated something when you simply get the point of it is annoying. I do get God's intentions and that he wants us to do good, he should just repeat it once in the most detail he wants to.
