​ ​​ ​The​ ​first​ ​people​ ​in​ ​Oregon​ ​were​ ​there​ ​about​ ​11,000​ ​years​ ​ago,there​ ​were​ ​about​ ​80​ ​indian​ ​tribes 

there.The​ ​next​ ​people​ ​there​ ​were​ ​the​ ​Europeans,they​ ​searched​ ​for​ ​a​ ​northwest​ ​passage​ ​in 

1579.Thousands​ ​more​ ​settlers​ ​came​ ​to​ ​Oregon​ ​after​ ​gold​ ​was​ ​discovered.In​ ​early​ ​1770’s​ ​before 

the​ ​Revolutionary​ ​War,they​ ​found​ ​a​ ​great​ ​river​ ​that​ ​led​ ​west​ ​and​ ​opened​ ​Oregon​ ​to​ ​the​ ​first​ ​white 

traders.By​ ​the​ ​1840’s​ ​the​ ​first​ ​wagon​ ​trains​ ​had​ ​gathered​ ​to​ ​make​ ​a​ ​journey​ ​to​ ​Oregon.The​ ​next 

decade​ ​saw​ ​hundreds​ ​of​ ​thousands​ ​of​ ​settlers​ ​make​ ​their​ ​way​ ​east.
