I chose this picture of a plant growing in the center of the hands because I think it is a good representation of the role of plants in our environment. This is because the plant is the center of the hands which to me represents society and our environment. We revolve around plants because they keep our environment alive! I also like that the spot light is on the plant. This means to me that not only is it the main focus of the image, but the light acts like the sun and promotes growth for the plant.

I picked this video to represent the process of photosynthesis because it had a very basic and "light" feel to it. Even though it is a little childish, it kept all of the vocabulary and the actual process of photosynthesis very understandable and straight to the point. I liked it because it was a cute story and whether you're 7 or 70, you can understand the process and stages of photosynthesis.

For an example of an angiosperm, I chose the Honeysuckle. The taxonomy name for this is, Lonicera japonica and the common name is the Chinese Honeysuckle. I chose this because I remember these growing by the playground at my elementary school.

I believe that tropical rainforests are the most in danger ecologically out of all of the biomes. The first reason is because climate change. Climate change will affect the growth of plants due to the change in temperature and in rainfall. The second reason it is most in danger is because of the deforestation. Humans cut down trees for selfish purposes and they do not understand the backlash this will have on our earth for the future.

I chose this picture to best represent the change in the Neolithic age. This is because people now settled in one area and had a surplus in food, more nutrition from food, and more time to raise a family. It was probably also easier to raise a family because now they were no longer moving constantly. Because of all of these causes, the effect was a major growth in population. The world since then has grown rapidly in population.

For an example from the third agricultural revolution, I chose this one. This picture stood out to me because these people are out genetically modifying our plants, yet they are wearing those protective suits. If GMOs were actually not harmful to us, why would these people need to protect their body in these fields. This has made me think, " Does the government allow this because of it makes cheaper yet more abundant food available?"

I think the most important chemical from a plant is Terpenes. It is a phytochemical. It can protect cells from becoming cancerous, strengthen immune system, fight viruses, and slow cancer cell growth. You can find this inside cherries, rosemary, and citrus fruit peels. This is actually a picture that I found with a recipe. It is called rosemary cherry balsamic roasted chicken. It sounds delicious!

I think that if the agricultural, economical, social, and political practices go unchecked, this is what our world will look like. If there is no one to regulate our rules and laws, I think that people will stop caring. Also, I think that factories would just take over because there wouldn't be regulations and people could make more of their product for a lot less. I think the agricultural land would be diminished by these factories because it would be a lot cheaper to create food and mass produce it rather than growing it.
