         <description><![CDATA[<div>This strategy provides a visual aid or organizer to help guide students in a discussion about the topic. During this process students talk about what the know about he topic and what they want to learn about the topic before learning about the topic. The teacher can write student responses on the chart or have students write their responses on post-it notes and then post them to the chart. After teaching on the topic, the  class then discusses what they have learned about the topic and add that information to the learned column of the chart.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Technology to Enhance Element 8 Strategies</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Preview Questions: Technology can help enhance this strategy due to providing an easy way for teachers to create questions pertaining to or related to the topic being taught. It also provides an easy for students to answer those questions. Using technology also allows a way to collect data to refer back to during the lesson. A few online tools teachers can use are SurveyMonkey or Kahoot.<br><br>Skimming: Technology can help enhance this strategy by providing an opportunity for the teacher to present how to skim and the techniquices involved during skimming. Using technology like Prezi or Google Drive allow the teacher to model the strategy before having the students use the strategy.<br><br>K-W-L Strategy: Technology can help enhance this strategy by providing an easy way for students to organize and save information to refer back to about the topic has been taught and discussed. A few online tools students can use to create a K-W-L chart are Word or ReadWriteThink. Students can then send their hyperlinks or documents to the teacher for the teacher to display on the interactive whiteboard for class discussion. The teacher can use a name selector tool to randomly choose KWL charts to display.<br><br>Advanced Organizers: Technology can help enhance this strategy by offer a way for students to quickly fill in important information before, during, and after the lesson has been taught over the topic. Using technology also allows students to embed elements to go along with the information they typed into their organizer. A few online tools students and teachers can use to create advanced organizers are Prezi or Canva.<br><br>Anticipation Guides: Teachnology can help enhance this strategy by offering an easy way for teachers to collect formative assessment data about a topic. Using technology with this strategy allows the teacher to insert statements into the anticipation guide prior to the day it will be used. Students then can use clickers or similar technology to respond to the statements. Using a name generator the teacher can randomly select students to defend their responses or respond to other student’s responses. A technology tool that can be used with this strategy is ReadWriteThink.<br><br>Word Splash Activity: Technology can help enhance this strategy by allowing students to create word categories based on vocabulary, terms, or phrases given to them by the teacher.Using tools such as Wordle, TagCrowd, or WordItOut provide a fast and easy way to create word clouds to categorize vocabulary, terms, or phrases provided by the teacher over the topic.</div>]]></description>

Have student login ready prior to class time.<br><br>Skimming: Create presentation for using skimming techniquies prior to class time or lesson. Practice modeling the techniques in front of the students, so they can see how to use the techniques.<br><br>K-W-L Strategy: Have student logins ready for the technology tool you want hem to use to create the chart. I suggest having a  picture ready to display on the interactive whiteboard to engage students or make them wonder about the lesson for the day.<br><br>Advance Organizers: Select graphic organizer tool students will use prior to class time. have student logins ready to go. Show a video or picture slide show for students to watch and have students begin contributing thoughts to their organizers.<br><br>Anticipation Guides: Have guide already made. Select the approapriate technology for students to respond to the statements.<br><br>Word Splash Activity: Have vocabulary, terms, or phrases ready to display for students to create a word cloud. Select word cloud tool and have student logins ready prior to class time.<br><br></div>]]></description>
