Who is Al-Umari? Do you think he is a reliable source of information on Mansa Musa’s pilgrimage to Mecca? Why, or why not?

Al-Umari is an Arab historian who passed through Cairo in Egypt asking people about Mansa Musa as he passed through. After his journey he wrote about Mansa Musa's visit. I believe Al-Umari is not a reliable source of information because according to the article, he asked people about Mansa Musa several years after Mansa Musa passed through Cairo. Also, he asked random people in the city. This means the information people gave him may be wrong because they could've forgotten since Mansa Musa passed through several years ago or the people could've twisted their stories to make it more appealing or exciting.
