Why - I chose Katie Ledecky because when she was swimming the 800m freestyle she had fallen behind earlier in the race, but then at the last down and back she spead ahead and ended up winning the race with a 12 second difference from the next person.

This is my favorite olympic moment because Simone came from nothing living with her mom and no father figure in her life. She lived out of her apartment with her mom and her mom worked 3 jobs to care for simone and her. They had to pay for there car loan, house loan, and all the food they ate. So that to me is pretty cool coming from nothing and becoming an olympic gold medalist.
