Troy's character is very dry and rude. Troy has a drinking problem, and acts like he only cares about himself. "What you worried about what we getting into for, woman"(Wilson 1). In this quote Troy is being really rude to Rose. Troy just seems like he doesn't care about anyone's feelings, and that is just wrong.

Troy sees himself as the king of the gods. Troy is so stuck up, and thinks he runs the show. Troy has a strict mindset that only works for him. Troy tries to get everyone to do things his way, and no one wants to. Cory is a good example for being mistreated by Troy. Cory and Troy do not have a good relationship. Cory gets treated like he's working for his dad, instead of being treated like a son. Cory sees his dad as the government. Cory feels like he can't be himself, and that makes Cory angry. Cory just wants his dad to let loose, so he can be himself.

This image relates to Troy because he is stuck. Troy has a drinking problem and family issues. In this image it shows the guy is drinking alone just sitting in his thoughts. This just shows how Troy acts and now doesn't know what to do with his life. Troy just needs to realize what he has done to his family, instead of drinking his problems away.

I chose "I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter"( Linkin Park). These lyrics relate to Troy because he tries to make his family the way he wants, and no one in his family likes it. Troy just wants things to go his own way, and they did for a while. Troy's family went through a tough time. Troy was the reason why his family was the way that they were. Cory, and Rose didn't do anything about it until Troy got another girl pregnant. This is to show that in the end it really doesn't matter for Troy anymore.

The theme I chose was Family. The reason I chose family is because Troy's family is very complicated. Throughout the whole play Troy and his family had to live in a shadow of Troy's way. This means Cory, and Rose were told to do things Troy's way, or anything they wanted to do was Troy's way. Troy was the only one making money in the family, so his job was to do everything besides cook. This also made him think everything was going to go his way. Troy should have been a better parent, and husband. Troy was just not good at both and caused his family to go crazy. This also made Troy think he could do whatever he wanted too.
