- Trips for students
- Having young volunteers/returnees assisting exchange students - shows students/returnees that you can be a volunteer at a young age
- Meet up with all HF and students in the area (local family days)
- The orientations 
- Standardization of YFU organizations - same message, same mission, same values
- More meetings with exchange students who went on exchange together - reunions etc.
- Contact person should be met in person and should be there right from the start
- Contact person also should not be 'overbearing' - they should be there but not bothering students all the time
- Cultural exchange (2)
- All students should have opportunity to go on cultural exchange and tours
- Transport can be a problem for students who are based in remote areas
- Farm exchange - if students in remote areas are placed together, it's easier
