<title>As we go through the course of our lives we might often find our minds hold very contradicting opinions. In the case of &quot; The Story of the Hour&quot; we are able to understanding the thought process of Mrs.Millard as she comes to terms with the death of her husband and what that means for the rest of her life. Through her thoughts we are able to see that her first natural instinct is to mourn the death of her husband. She still loved and cared for him, even if at the end of the day she realizes that his death ultimately means her liberty from the shackles of the societal norms of the time. This is best seen when she realizes she now wants to live a long life now that he is dead, yet acknowledges that she would weep if she were to see his body before he is buried.</title>
