However, after observing in detail, each individual column, door, window and staircase step are unique due to their cracks and fractures in their defective state. Therefore, i think it was important and meaningful for us to document and preserve every interesting historical values of this building.

My task on this Architecture Investigate was to measure the interior part of the building with my other five group mates. Through out the whole week, we had manage to finish our job easily with our great team bond, it was my pleasure to work with them. With this field trip, I had understood the important of conserving the historical buildings is not just documentary out the building but also how to maintain it in order to preserve the historical architecture.

With the assigned building which is an old museum in Kedah, I know the importance of the building towards Kedah society in the past through the function that it had before. In our group we were divided into smaller sub group to ease the process of getting all the information that we need which include the measurements, general history info and the content for video. As everyone had their own task to be complete, all of the information were obtained efficiently.

To know diffrent cultures and architecture styles in Alor Setar which is totally diffrent from the Selangor area. My task was to measure south exterior elevation together with my groupmate, Bolin. It wasn't that easy because the measurements kept on running off so we had to remeasure it several times. But we managed to get everything done before the last day. Although we were hoping to be able to study and measure our original assignment, Balai Besar, the old museum building was a fine replacement albeit without the grandeur of Balai Besar. 

Being part of the research and photography team, it was indeed a pleasure to learn about the intricate history of the museum, through books and interviews that we conducted. The staffers at the museum were friendly and accommodating, and that helped make our research a lot easier than expected.

Great experience working together with a big team consist of 16 members. I was assigned to measure the north facade and staircase of the museum. The difficult part of this task is the repeat details along the facade have different dimension each. So, it takes us longer time to measure in order to get accurate result. The good thing is we managed to finish the task on time with the cooperation of all members in the team.
