My father is the one who always maintains a balance between every aspect of life. He was very loving not only to his family and people but to all animals. Yes, he was animal lover - all kinds of animals. Even wild monitor lizards or "bayawak" tamed by him. I miss all his pets and I miss him so much. I love you, Papa!

Quilting captures my heart. It is something that I can express my creativity with no boundaries as to what I can do - from choosing patterns, fabric, colors, measuring, cutting, sewing to hand and machine-quilting.

You held my tiny little hands the moment you saw me. I was one cry baby and you did not like that much. You taught me how to write patiently holding my right hand whenever I place my pencil on my left. You held my hand each time we climb up the stage to receive merits and medals. We were a tandem. You were that proud pop ever every time you pin or don medals on me. You taught me how to cook, tidy up and how to be respected especially by boys. You said Im supposed to be one tough cookie always geared with a joke, so I grew up like Luisa from the Disney movie Encanto but as days went on we both knew I’m the Mirabel, the one who will congeal this family together. 

Our January journey for this year 2023 have been tough. We held and cried together but you gifted me with your loving presence and strength. To the very end, this time I held your hand like those times you held mine when I was little and growing up. 

This father-daughter love will transcend beyond life. No distance, no time, not even death will ever  this love. For this love we share is bigger than life itself.
