Ali woke up and got out of her bed, expecting a normal day. She got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen to eat a fruit salad as her breakfast. She bit into a cut up strawberry, and all the juice and sweetness tasted delicious. After she was finished eating, she washed her dishes and packed her lunch. She got all her things ready and headed out the door to get in her car and drive off. As she was driving, she admired the beauty of California. When she got to school, she met up with her class and friends. Eventually, everyone got on the bus and Ali was sitting next to her blonde best friend, Kacy.
Rest of the essay:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PZh7SJAFuQo-uZ1klmp6NjDMJwdPd5vDp656wkBpp08/edit?usp=sharing

There are many examples on how animal testing negativly affects animals and how they live. Animal testing is unethical because it gives flawed data, animals go through plenty of pain for human research, and lastly the tests are not reliable.

Rest of the essay: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_8g_1ZFvugYUrI_p58I2bxYgachIp0AWCLmLikBARDk/edit?usp=sharingV

Governments use propaganda to create a false idea about others. They often have misleading or biased information to publicize a political cause. An example of propaganda from the WWII Nazi is below. In the photo, there is a large warning written in red to grab the attention of the person looking at it. Adolf Hitler and this other man are looking at the world, both holding weapons. On the bottom it says “ Our homes are in danger now!” And lastly it says “Our job keep ‘em firing”.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HiZgzzzVYT6sACEH4P3lvyF455p2om5_H1-0cb6XnFA/edit?usp=sharing

In the novel Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, Jenny’s story is an example of a lack of freedom that different people had during this time. In Chapter 3, Isabel and Ruth were about to be sold to the Locktons. Jennys tires to help them and says, “I want them two girls. I need the help. We’ll pay cash,”(22). Jenny didn’t need the girl’s help, but she knew their mother and believed Isabel's claim that their master had set them free. She offers money she doesn’t have to help them gain their freedom. Another example of Jenny’s lack of freedom is when it states, “I was indentured when I was your age,”(17). This is an example because indentured means that you're contracted to work without a salary. Jenny didn’t have any freedom so she had to work. These two quotes from the novel Chains are two examples of how Jenny didn’t have any freedom.

Dear President Roosevelt, Thank you for using your time out of your day to read my letter. I am a 15 year old girl named Juliet Williams that got sent to an internment camp in Colorado with my family. I was born in California so was my brother, Levi and my sister, Lana. My mother is American, she was also born in the United states. My father is half Japanese, but he was born in Japan. They met in Europe and moved to the US to build our family. I always thought I was American. After Executive Order 9066 was sent, we arrived at the camp and our lives changed.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KMFmI9PN89Fs145UAUNKq5xn6CGgoNPSHe7GhDVLNsU/edit?usp=sharing

I could get caught at any moment. If I continue helping them, I could get caught and they would be caught as well. Where would they take us? I received the list from Margot and the rest of them. I had to go to the store and get some soap, bread, and a bunch of other things. As I was walking to the store, I see the Nazis taking some Jews. I could hear their voices and you could hear the sadness in their voices. I go to the store and collect all the items from the two families lists. I am walking back to the Secret Annex and wait a moment for all the workers to leave the building. I wait and wait until they are gone and I walk inside and knock on the door. Mr. Frank opens the door and I see Anne peak behind him. I gave them the things they asked for and I told them any news that are important. They show me their gratitude and I leave very quietly, hoping to not get caught.
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1cfW1Tq1Up099E53tkrpCncdAIFdcA1JejeN0x9sISDU/edit?usp=sharing
