Even if people could prove that they weren't witches, they would still be killed nonetheless. Years later there was a “second witch-hunt” where instead of being accused of being witches, people were being accused of being communists, in which people were terrified of at the time. This caused the accused Arthur miller to write a play comparing these new accusations to the witch hunt, and named this combination of history- “The crucible”.(Arthur in image 4, and image number three shows some actors from the play/ what they wore.)
