         <description><![CDATA[<div>GDP: 36.69 billion USD (2020)<br><br>Bolivia has an adult literacy rate of 92.46%&nbsp;</div><div>While the male literacy rate is 96.52%, the female literacy rate is 88.58%. The literacy rate has slowly dropped in recent years.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>1 million Bolivian adults are illiterate</li><li>1/5 children never complete primary school</li></ul><div><br>Environmental Factors Influencing Wellbeing:</div><ul><li>indoor and outdoor air pollution;</li><li>water pollution from industries (particularly mining) and associated adverse health and ecological impacts;</li><li>vulnerability to natural disasters and climate change risks;</li><li>inadequate solid waste management</li><li>Highest rates of undernourishment in South America (15.9%)</li><li>expansion of the agricultural frontier and unsustainable land use, resulting in deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and soil erosion.</li><li>farm productivity is among the lowest in South America which leads to increased food insecurity and increase malnutrition.</li><li>most of the population in Bolivia faces chronic health problems due to food insecurity.&nbsp;</li><li>underweight children and iron deficiencies</li><li>Infant mortality rates are falling slowly as health care gradually improves however they are still the highest in South America.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br>Human Factors Influencing Wellbeing:&nbsp;</div><ul><li>nearly one in two women in Bolivia (47%) experienced some type of intimate partner violence in the past year.</li><li>Main Religion: Roman Catholic</li><li>Bolivia has experienced political uncertainty and a corrupt government in the past however is now in a period of stability.&nbsp;</li><li>The period of stability means that organisations are more inclined to help out with improvements in wellbeing.&nbsp;</li><li>Medium human development (as per the HDI in 2012)</li><li>Poverty is concentrated to more the rural areas</li><li>2/3 of the population is living in extreme poverty</li><li>Poverty is high among indigenous populations.</li><li>In rural areas, the food is only enough to feed families however none to sell.&nbsp;</li><li>Migration is one response to poverty in Bolivia at the moment. (ie. move to other countries = decrease in national population)</li><li>Poverty -&gt; varying levels in employment, varying quality of infrastructure (eg. schools, hospitals, electricity)</li></ul><div><br>Bolivias has low overall wellbeing, situated 75th out of the 125 countries on the Happy Planet Index. They have a relatively low life expectancy (71.5 years) and their well-being is rated 5.67 out of 10 which indicates that the people do not have high contentment or happiness in their life.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Water quality and health are low and fresh drinking water is hard to access. Crime and poverty rule the streets and the villages of Tanzania. High infant mortality means a low population and life expectancy. There are also low levels of education in Tanzania and gender inequality. Combining all these factors communicate that Tanzania has quite a low overall well-being.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Now many struggles with psychological distress, which included flashbacks, depression, suicidal thoughts, and inflicting violence on family members. This affects how they live their day to day lives and many of them lost their jobs due to their mental state. <br><br><strong>e) Write 1-2 sentences establishing the overall</strong></div><div><strong>level of wellbeing in this country.</strong></div><div><br></div><div>The overall wellbeing of Afghanistan is severely poor as a majority of its environment is deteriorating and it is in the midst of low economic status, war, as well as immense sickness and inequality.
