Hello! Hello my name is Bhumi Shah, I am an Early Childhood Educator and I believe in the value of engagement to learning for young children. Through the Early Childhood Education certificate according to PEI level, I teach children about social, emotional, and cognitive development keeping in touch with parents and caregivers. I encourage the infuse of education children with aspects like inclusiveness, creativity, and reflective practitioners; thus making sure every child gets a chance to learn according to own ability.

Apart from my professional experience, I have been practicing Indian Classical Dance for more than twenty-four years. I have never considered this more than a hobby, it has been a way of putting a voice to my ideas, my culture, my beliefs. Dance prepared me for disciplining myself and thus resilience as well as cultivating an understanding and appreciation for creativity, molds my teaching philosophy.

Education and the arts are probably some of the most effective means of developing individuals. As an educator and dancer, I try to find some ways in which I can combine both roles and bring some aspects of the dancing world in to my classroom. It enhances type of learning activities in the learning process while the children appreciate other cultures and types of art.

With my background in early childhood education and my life-long commitment to the arts, I endeavor to design spaces that promote wonder, exploration, and lifelong learning.

Reflection.

1. I chose this artifact. It is a great choice because it deals with children’s development and development in the early and middle years. It also says how they learn, decision-making skills, reasoning ability, and creativity that is essential for their future. Each of the activities like sensory play and puzzles is a real-life example of how one can enhance learning among kids in an entertaining manner. Combining this with the e-portfolio proves an understanding of child development and how it can be implemented in practice.

2. This assignment is useful because it is related to ideas and methods of interaction with young children by means of songs, stories or fingerplays. These activities are important for children’s communication and language development as well as motor development and promoting social interaction. The reflection also veins out how effective of both the methods to implement and how these methods assist children on creativity and speaking sessions. Integrating this shows how the educator can engage children through play and other creative endeavors as well as meeting children’s developmental needs.

Reflection.

1. I selected this assignment on purpose because it shows that I am capable of considering and analyzing the needs of my clients. The analysis will help in effective communication in general and ensure proper reception of messages among the target audience. In the course of this exercise, I show my critical analysis skills and capacity to apply these abilities in realistic life situations.

2. Designed to bring children closer to their environment, the search for the treasure makes the child learn through direct experiences of the restoration process of nature. I have a concept of learning by experience and this assignment represents it in a way that children learn through practicing. Besides teaching children about exercise, the type of activity fosters students’ analytical skills, observation, and interest.

3. I have chosen this assignment because It is this responsibility that focuses on the transition from penance practices with rules to follow to guidelines that encourage individuals to make the right choices to make better behavior. 1. With a focus on the application of social and emotional learning in the context of early years education, this assignment addresses such basic concepts as emotional literacy, with respect to the subject matter of the educational process, as well as Fall 2019 important positive outcomes to students’ learning. It relates SEL principles to the HDL document and demonstrates the use of the SEL principles via activities that promote emotional development. 1. This assignment reflects on “Feeling Buddies” which is a resource that can used in early childhood settings to address emotional self-regulation. It emphasizes the significance of using action to address and define the children’s feelings and using strategies to reduce children’s pressure to foster their emotional intelligence. This paper also looks into the role of families in SEL assignments. Illustrates support for children’s emotional well-being and its documentation on family involvement in supporting SEL; which is a comprehensive approach to child development.

2. I chose this assignment because it reflects my expertise in dealing with various families in a community environment, I have added the CRP Steps 1-3 assignment. That is why this project is included in there since it showed cultural responsiveness which was my focus for inclusion in this electronic portfolio.The task was about coming up with a plan that would assist a newly arrived family. It demonstrates my sensitivity towards multiple families needs, desires to work together with them.

1. These assignments were selected in my e-portfolio as they demonstrate the development and progress of a student and an educator. All of them relate to me and define myself and my values. They are not just tasks; They are real-life experiences that depict the journey. The Twitter Research Assignment about Hurricane Milton was useful because it was about understanding the role of social media as a platform for discussion and reaction to large-scale events. The primary learning that I gained from this assignment is how digital platforms educate and network. It taught me how storytelling works and how updates should be provided during crisis situations. I think this skill can be helpful for knowing how to build relationships with people.

   
   

2. The final assignment involves the adaptation of the Canadian Families Change and diversity. It was rather fascinating to read this essay and gather the information necessary. It enabled me to figure out and know more on diverse cultures and other facets. It also determines my capacity to synthesize and study about the matters concerning family relationships.

1. The assignment known as “Temperament Assignment” helped me think about the character that I have and how I interact with children. : Temperament covers how children respond to their surroundings therefore it is important to understand. This project helped me appreciate the need to be aware of my disposition and how it affects students amidst teaching practices.

2. The reasons why I choose this assignment to represent are the following: It illustrates how I am related to children and how I feel about being their friend. This assignment was to listen/ interview a child, what they like to do after school. It helped too see that there important to interact with the child and families.

3. The analysis of the document “How Does Learning Happen?” Document together with the Universal Beliefs about Early Education helped me learn the ways to arrange the classroom in which any child would not feel left out. This assignment helped me realize the importance of considering the relationship between learning and culture as well as the basic environment. It also gave me an opportunity to think about Indigenous ways of knowing such as the Seasonal Pedagogy and the potential for learning from the natural world. This has a great correlation with what I hold as an early childhood educator.
