AMAZON ADVERT- Advert shows a young girl who was determined to progress with her ballet as she was playing a starring role in her winter dance, practising everywhere she can, but because of the pandemic and government restrictions this became a problem. This ad shows that how through amazon and her family it all became possible and she puts on the performance for all of her neighbours. The advert is memorable to me as it shows determination and persistence through hard times and how it is possible to do anything if you out your mind to it. Technological advances and online shopping e.g. amazon has made that statement even more realistic.

There is something so powerful about this advert that has me in tears everytime I watch it!
While it may not say much about the Company (Sainsbury's), the industry/market they are in (British supermarket industry); or the products that they sell (groceries) - the slogan message 'Christmas is for Sharing' may encourage people to think differently about their consumption at this time of year and even increase the amount/volume of purchases that they make.
The music (Silent Night) is really recognisable within British Culture and fits perfectly with the soft and emotional feel of the avert - the translation of words in both English and German really empower the community essence behind it.
Playing tribute too to all the soldiers that fought within the first World War in what was the centenary year is a lovely tribute emphasised by the collaborative relationship with the Royal British Legion Charity. I think this really helps promote consumers perceptions of Sainsbury's as not solely profit driven, caring and supportive brand.
Furthermore, as it is so different it really stands out from the crowd - particularly main rivals Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Lidl who all incorporated a very product-orientated sales approach to their adverts in this year

Spanish cold meat brand (Casa Tarradellas) Ad

As I come from Spain, all my favourite adverts are in Spanish, but I will explain in English what happens in it and what does make it special and iconic.
Firstly, we have a Spanish family. They are in their August holidays, so they are spending time together in their second residence, something really common back in Spain. The mom comes to the lounge and asks everyone: 'Who has done it this time?', and starts trying to find out the person responsible for something we do not know yet by asking everyone: 'Was it you? Everyone denies responsibility, and then the mum takes out the tiny little bit of cold meat that is left. She says that she bought yesterday morning and starts blaming everyone by saying: 'It has not lasted even 24 hours, I bought it yesterday'.
And then, they start to show the story behind the family and what happened to the cold meat thing (called fuet in Spanish). Everyone eats from it, and they show how everyone takes a bit in a funny way. But then when you can see the mum again at the lounge after having shown the story, she goes to the kitchen and she takes out another entire piece of fuet that she bought for herself, as she knew what was going to happen. But instead of giving it to the family, she starts eating it on her own.
The slogan for this ad is: 'One fuet finishes off really quickly. Also two of them.
It is really iconic in Spain, because I think it really reflects what happens in a family during summer, and it is something that has happened in my own family, eating things that we were not supposed to have until lunch or dinner time, but we saw them and we just couldn't resist. That is the reason why I believe the ad made a huge impact, as most people in Spain feels they are reflected in the ad, even though your second residence is not that nice (or you might not even have one) or you do not have such a big family. Since then, the brand has made some other really good ads as well. I believe that if you asked between Spanish people, they would also say these are their favourite ads. Sorry for the lenght of this text, and I hope you understand it and you like it!

The campaign had the overarching goal of turning the phrase “Like a Girl” into something strong and uplifting as opposed to the derogatory connotation it had. All of the ads asked older teens a question and then had them demonstrate their answer. The process was repeated with young girls and boys to highlight the differences in responses.
Always has remained a top provider of feminine products since the 1980s, however times have definitely changed since then. When the campaign was launched, it was directed towards Millennials: Girls who were born after the year 2000 who were close to the age where girls begin going through puberty. This approach targeted an audience younger than usual to instil within them a connection to the Always brand and reiterated the company’s commitment to the everyday woman.
The movement began from there and continues to help girls understand the phrase “Like a Girl” as one that is positive and promotes healthy change in the world. It has united women and girls across the globe to take back that phrase and show the world what women are actually capable of.
#LikeAGirl by Always is not just an advertisement, it is a call to action and a movement. And everything about it created a buzz, making it a successful movement that made people want to take part! Aldi have been able to continue the story over several years and retain viewers interest.
I think this ad particularly emphasises their targeting of families as their main customers, as it is always very entertaining and family friendly.
They have also been able to expand on this advert beyond the TV by releasing Kevin the Carrot merch, which shows how successful the campaign has been.
