A great way to welcome everyone into your classroom is by doing a "star Student" of the week. The "Star" gets to bring in pictures of his/her family, favorite toy, answer questions about what they like to do for fun, and fill out a poster with information about themselves.

Another way to incorporate diversity and culture is to include books in different languages for the students learning English.

A good way to incorporate diversity and culture into the classroom would be to have each student do a project about their culture or heritage to present to the class. They could make food from their culture or bring in an item of their family's that represents their culture. It could be a really great way for other students to learn about different cultures and have the opportunity to share their own background with the class.

To incorporate diversity into your classroom it is important to let everyone know they are accepted for who they are and to embrace different cultures. As a teacher it is important to talk about and celebrate different cultures. Teachers need to educate themselves about the different cultures that students in their class celebrate, and adapt what you teach to them, so they feel welcomed and accepted.

There are a lot of ways you can incorporate different cultures into your classroom. A good way to start would be by getting to know the families and learning about them. Then you could have parents come in and talk about different things that they might do and have a weekly sharing time or something.

I good way to incorporate diversity into the classroom would be by reading different children's literature books about different cultural backgrounds. I think that this is the best and most beneficial way for students. Also, maybe having students personally share about their own cultural backgrounds would be a good way to get to know our classmates better all while learning about different cultures.

I think it is very important to incorporate diversity and culture into the classroom at a very early age. Having student's share about their culture would be a good way for all the children to learn about diversity. They can do this by bringing things in and sharing pictures. Displaying some of these different artifacts and pictures into the classroom, will make it feel like more of a diverse and comfortable place for everyone. Listening to the families' stories will help give a personal touch.

I would incorporate their culture by adding in their backgrounds into the curriculum. Instead of having Black history month one time a year, the teacher should get multiple perspectives of all backgrounds in every activity. I would also teach the students about different cultures, so that they can be more accommodating and accepting to other students.

A good way to incorporate diversity and different cultures in the classroom is to maybe have an assembly that shows different cultures (have the kids wear traditional outfits, maybe bring in food from different countries) to teach the kids about different cultures and the importance of accepting them. I also think having books and other types of media written by authors from different backgrounds (i.e. authors from different countries, female authors, authors with different disabilities, etc) would also be a good way to teach kids about diversity and acceptance.

I think a good way to incorporate diversity and culture into the classroom is by spending time everyday talking about different cultures. This way the children can become familiar with different cultures. Then after we go over different cultures you can incorporate the children in your class cultures into the lessons so it makes it more personal for them.

I think it's very important to incorporate everyone's culture into the classroom. Now a days, classrooms are becoming more culturally diverse and as a teacher, we need to be aware of this. I would make time for everyone to share about their culture and what it means to them. I could do different lessons, like have them create a powerpoint about their culture and family and present it to the class. I could also have parents of different cultures come in and talk to the class and share about their culture. I would make sure that everyone feels comfortable in my class, no matter what culture they come from.

One very important way to incorporate culture into the early childhood classroom is through literature - it is essential that everyone in the class see their culture reflected in the print/image materials available in the classroom. The guideline I once heard was that for classes where the majority of children are from diverse minority groups, they need to see themselves represented equally - when there are few or no minority students, that MAJORITY of the images and materials present must represent individuals of diverse backgrounds.

One think I really enjoyed as a teacher was finding different versions of the same story that reflected different cultures and having them available to start conversations that encouraged the children to compare and contrast them.

I also would incorporate different language books, things in the dress up area that touch on differences and explain those new items I add before putting them in there so that the children know about them.
