Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, has redefined women's role in politics through her compassionate leadership style and focus on issues such as child poverty, mental health, and the well-being of citizens. Ardern has become a symbol of hope for many people around the world and has shown that a leader can prioritize empathy and kindness in their decision-making.

Her decision to take maternity leave while serving as Prime Minister and being open about balancing the demands of motherhood and political leadership has challenged traditional gender roles and paved the way for greater work-life balance for women in politics.

Ardern's approach to leadership can be seen as a liberating act for feminism as it breaks down the traditional stereotype that women in politics must prioritize their careers over their personal lives. By modeling a new kind of leadership that values care and compassion, she is empowering women to pursue political careers and advocating for a more equitable society.

Overall, Ardern's redefinition of women's role in politics can be seen as both inhibiting and liberating for feminism. While some may see her focus on maternal issues as reinforcing traditional gender roles, others view it as a step towards greater equality for women in leadership.

Jacinda symbolized to women globally the significance of taking political action and how women have the ability to be exceptional political leaders - despite the constant negative light shes on them by men and the media.

Her decision in resigning is nothing but liberating as it sends a message that her bluntness and brutal honesty in the reasoning behind her resignation enabled her to control the narrative that was going to be spoken about her.

Jacinda Ardern has stated that she knows that the given job of being the prime minister of New Zealand takes, and that she does not have the willpower and physicality, along with the physiological aspects to handle the responsibilities as a whole.

Comparing to men, women get asked much more personal and specific questions as a whole, forming more media coverage.

The mass of women have become much more indulged in corporate and governmental jobs and positions when they visualize a woman as a political leader engaging the public as a whole. However, there are risks with women being placed in high valued positions and jobs in the end.

Overall, I believe that Janinda Ardern has redefined politics and made it much more open for women to take part and have a value to their say and voice. Her decision was a liberating act due to having other personal responsibilities that she did not want the media to take part and acknowledge as a whole.

Jacinda Ardern has changed many perspectives of women, but this act could be seen as a liberating act because she would have more freedom to spend time with herself, and she could’ve done such an act to feel free from politics as it might’ve been oppressive for her as an individual. Her resigning could send a message to women in politics that it’s fine for one to resign, and it’s definitely possible for a woman to reach such a position in the first place.

Through her empathetic and compassionate leadership style, her prioritization of social issues like child poverty and mental health, and her capacity for persuasive communication and public engagement, Jacinda Ardern, the current prime minister of New Zealand, has redefined the role of women in politics. She has disproven gender norms and shown that women are capable of being strong, compassionate leaders. Ardern received praise and respect from all over the world for her response to the massacres at the Christchurch mosque, in which she showed compassion and tenacity. Ardern has demonstrated that women can lead at the highest levels of government with grace and efficacy via her deeds, encouraging other women to run for office.

The article shows how gender roles are elevated in political situations, especially with sexist attacks that would not be apparent with a male leader. Having women in political power can prompt other women to go into a leadership role. However, the resignation reinforces the stereotype that women are not fit to be in political power.

Throughout the tenure of the former prime minister Jacinda Ardern, one important message that was perveyed was the "opening" of politics. Its clear that when women hold high positions of power, it shows nations and the public that all people can bring compentency to the role, and that the role itself should be based on merit and hardwork, and not purely absed on gender, and "standard" societal norms. Her resignation on the other hand, is also a statement, on how as all are equal, there are still many problems that threaten our right to equality. Jacinda, over the course of her tenure faced many overtly sexist attacks, that both threatened her quality of life, and in the end, unfortunately she succumbed to the peer pressure, and resigned, mainly due to safety concerned. Due to the bigotry present in the world, she had to face her family, and supporters to b victimized, and blamed for the divide in the country.

Jacinda Ardern has had a profound impact on the perception of women in the role of politics.

She was 37 when she was elected as Prime Minister, also making her the youngest female head to serve in any country. During her time in power, she focused on issues such as mental health and citizen well-being, showing the world that leadership is not solely about politics, but compassion and kindness as well.

Ardern noted that women tend to face more questions regarding their personal life compared to their male counterparts, and this was further emphasized during the time of her recognition. She was asked an array of questions regarding her decision and the impact of her personal life on her job. She highlighted the issue of political bias against women in a position of power, something not many had dared to address.

Ardern taking 6 weeks off from work due to maternal reasons and being liberal in regards to motherhood in a political setting was a grand inspiration to many mothers worldwide. She paved the way for women, especially mothers, in politics and showed the world that motherhood should not be a hinderance. She also challenged typical gender roles of men being in positions of power, showing her capability as a leader and a mother.

Women empowerment has always been an issue of injustice throughout the world. Jacinda Ardern has redefined the ideology of women’s role in life, especially politics and rights. She focuses on issues such as child poverty, mental health, and has paid attention to religious issues and health issues, especially in dealing with COVID-19.
However, her place as a political figure has raised multiple unwanted comments, especially from men, how women are expected to do ‘minor’ tasks, such as cooking and cleaning. Her position in power has been considered as liberating for women. Women now can be admitted into more higher positions, which allows liberation and freedom of women and their decisions. her resignation sends a sort-of warning message to the public, saying how unfair women are treated in politics and other factors in comparison to men, how her honesty being held in play as a leader had led to her being stereotyped and hated on.
