I am a senior high school student with a 4.0 GPA. My plans for next year is to attend DeSales University for Political Science. I became interested in law because I am passionate about providing satisfactory service to those in need, eager to represent those who don't have a voice. My previous position as a Starbucks Barista has highlighted my proven ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships with several clients. I am well trained in providing administrative support and customer service to clients as well as the internal staff.

What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

My strongest skills are communication and customer service. I'm more than comfortable handling different levels of interactions with professionalism and empathy. On the other hand, I can be a perfectionist. I'm always mindful of time and deadlines, which sometimes leads to overworking myself on tasks. I am learning to balance perfection with efficiency, which helps me improve my overall performance.

Tell me about a time you failed.

During working as a Starbucks Barista, I had a frequent customer walk in the store. Based on my past experience with her, I made an assumption she would be getting her usual. In an effort to give quick service, I prepared the wrong drink in advance as she wasn't getting her regular coffee that day. As a result, I had an incorrect order wasted and added confusion for the guest. I acknowledged my mistake, had a light hearted conversation with her, and proceeded to take her new order. The client was happy with my eagerness to serve her and left great praise to myself and the other baristas. She acknowledged how well the store treats her and apologized for "switching it up" for the day. She ended up enjoying her order, left happy, and left the staff with great customer connection scores.

Describe a time where you overcame a difficult situation.

When I worked as a Starbucks Barista, a customer came into the store and complained that their drink was wrong, as the drive-thru worker gave them the wrong order. I emphatically apologized, and to help ensure the customer received the correct order as soon as possible, I let our team know to prioritize making their new drink first. When she received her new drink in no time and with a friendly smile, she thanked me for my help and left a generous tip. The interaction was quick, efficient, and left both parties happy and satisfied.
