Fighting for Nature

On November 11th Rogie and I participated in fighting for nature, a small group of 5 or 6 students went out on the local trails and picked up trash and tried to help our local environment. This exciting trip helped us to discover who wanted to be in the physical environment around us. It allowed me to interact with the natural environment and also helped me to remember who I am outside of the class room.

Election night!

On election night there was an awesome event held in McCaffery where many students of many different political backgrounds gathered and watched the election. We heard many different view points and ideas and this allowed for inward reflection of ones beliefs as well as the chance to defend them. This event helped me to feel more comfortable when debating and only furthered my love for my major law and legal studies

Roman Feast

I got the amazing opportunity to participate in the reenactment of a traditional Roman feast. We got to make presentations and present them to a room of people who felt passionately about the topic. I felt like this helped me to better understand and appreciate the founding of the political system we use today. Hearing all the different speeches while being dressed in traditional garb was such a fun and humbling experience and brought a new light to the law that I already held so dearly.

Harry Potter Conference

I also was in attendance at the Harry potter conference, I attended a total of 4 different lectures and went for 2 days. I have always loved Harry Potter but it had been m any years since I actually perused the books, this brought out the inner child in me and helped me to fall in love with it all over again. It really helped me to remember who I was before coming to college.

Real Talk

Rogelio and I went to the post Election real talk where we discussed the election results. I found this so fascinating and also challenged my preconceptions about government and voting. This only furthered my love for law.

Woodmere Art Museum

I have always adored art, so when Dr. Grogan said she would be driving students to the Woodmere art museum to learn about culture Rogie and I jumped at the chance, In this image we are in the children's portion of the art museum looking at all the works by little kids. This was incredibly transformative for me and allowed me to see history which I am already so passionate about in a new light.
