I believe that BuzzFeed's diverse content impacts its reputation by opening up more revenue streams for the company. As seen there are several segments that have risen to fame such as the "Try Guys" or "Tasty" and there have been some bad segments that BuzzFeed was forced to close off. Apart from this, BuzzFeed also makes money from free writers who post through their website such as BuzzFeed Questions which has become one of the company's juiciest content. Most of the topics are based on human interests which engage their viewers and cause them to be viral, thus having a diverse portfolio of content allows them to cater to different viewers as well as open different revenue streams.

Buzzfeed's diversity in content has allowed it to expand to an extent wherein they can serve different kinds of media consumers with different interests. As a result, this has allowed them to increase their profits and created a reputation that is appealing to all.

Because Buzzfeed allows for people apart of the community to post their own articles, it opens up new avenues for people to reach the viral and trending news that could be happening globally. However, because they tend to post what is viral at the time, it can be a harbinger of plagiarism accusations. In their history, they have not only been accused of plagiarism but also the inaccuracy of their articles and was even voted by millennials as the least trusted news source in 2015.

Buzzfeed was often sued for copyright issues and for plagiarism. They also had to delete articles that criticized sponsors. Another issue with publishing different types of media was that they were subject to bias.

I believe that media agencies such as Buzzfeed should be open to being called of having certain biases however I do not believe they should disclaim they have such but only be transparent when asked.
