HACE's El Futuro (The Future) High School Leadership Program is a college and career development program for high school students. The program provides robust programming that helps students define career goals and develop postsecondary plans. HACE partners with various organizations and companies to prepare El Futuro students for success in their lives (college, career, and/or civic lives).

ASU Prep Digital: Boys State

Are you a current junior interested in attending Boys State 2026? This is an incredible opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in hands-on government simulations, and network with other high-achieving students.

Boys State will take place from May 31-June 6, at the University of Arizona in Tucson. If selected, you must attend for the full week. The cost to attend is $300.

ASU Prep Digital: Girls State

Are you a current junior interested in attending Girls State 2025? This is an incredible opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in hands-on government simulations, and network with other high-achieving students.

Girls State will take place from June 1-8, 2025, at the University of Arizona in Tucson. If selected, you must attend for the full week. The fee is $500 for the week of Girls State. This fee includes 2 shirts, meals, housing, room and all educational materials as well as insurance.

Complete this form by Thursday, February 27th, to be considered.

The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering is launching a summer bootcamp for high school students to explore engineering through hands-on projects. Participants will learn design, prototyping, and testing while collaborating with local non-profits to develop real-world solutions. Past projects have included solar panel battery systems, 3D-printed prosthetics, and tools for service dog training.

Camp date: June 23rd-27th, 2025 (8:00am-4:00 pm)

STEAM Machines Maker Camp

From June 2–6, 2025, the ASU Chandler Innovation Center will host an immersive STEAM day camp for students in grades 7–10. This hands-on program runs from 9 AM to 5 PM daily and explores science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through interactive challenges. Participants will build simple machines, craft electric circuits, learn programming, and experiment with cutting-edge technology like 3D printers, laser cutters, and Arduino microcontrollers. The camp culminates in the creation of a large-scale chain reaction machine, fostering teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in an engaging and dynamic environment.

STEAMpunk Machines in Motion Camp

From June 9–13, 2025, the STEAMpunk Machines in Motion Camp will take place at ASU Polytechnic Campus in Mesa, AZ. Designed for students in grades 8–12, this immersive day camp runs from 9 AM to 5 PM daily and blends science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) with the imaginative world of steampunk. Participants will design and build their own kinetic sculptures, learning mechanical movement, electric circuits, programming, and retro-futuristic storytelling. Through hands-on projects, teamwork, and problem-solving, students will create unique automata to showcase at the end of the week. The camp can be taken for one or two weeks, allowing participants to refine their designs further.

ASU Underwater Robotics Camp

Interested in learning how the field of engineering can be a force for good in the world? Team up with fellow high school students for an exciting introduction to the world of robotics. During the camp, students will compete in the National Underwater Robotics Competition and work on a team to build a robot to conduct a simulated mission to save scientists trapped in an underwater cave. Learn concepts and skills like buoyancy, electrical wiring, and autonomy in a fun and hands-on way and meet Desert WAVE, currently the top ranked underwater robotics team in the country! No experience is necessary!

MicroMaker Camp

From June 9–13, 2025, the Semiconductors & Assistive Technology Camp at ASU Chandler Innovation Center offers high school students (grades 9–12) a hands-on exploration of circuit design, microcontrollers, and assistive tech. Running from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, participants will build functional prototypes using Arduino boards, sensors, and actuators—no experience needed! The camp costs $125, with scholarships available. National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) – (overnight)

The National Summer Transportation Institute will engage you in projects and field trips that demonstrate how engineers plan and maintain our systems of transportation around the state of Arizona. As an NSTI participant, you will live on campus for one week while interacting with ASU engineering faculty and students, engaging in transportation-related field trips, and completing a project related to maintaining safe, sustainable, and efficient transit. This program is FREE and is designed for highly accomplished and motivated students.
