I enjoyed the story and characters and understood the struggle that Gemma was going through because of her guilt from causing the sabotage of her father's relationship with another woman while her parents were separated and the frustration and concern of wanting to make things better. The story doesn't have a complete ending but continues in the sequel, Revenge, Ice Cream and Other Things Best Served Cold.

The three quote that stuck out to me is "The last thing Hallie said to me was reverberating in my head." "And as I looked up into the sky that was bright with fireworks, I knew one thing she had been wrong about." "This wasn't over. It was just beginning. " I like these quotes because it let me know that this isn't the end of the book and it will continue.
