There alphabet was called the Phoenician alphabet and it was adopted for Greek in the early 8th century BC in Buboes. There language was spoken in Greek. An example of there alphabet was the Phoenician alphabet which was the earliest known fragmentary Greek inscriptions date from this time, 770–750 BC, and they match Phoenician letter forms of c. 800–750 BC. This has impacted our modern world by allowing us to learn the Greeks alphabet and the Greeks language and what they wrote on there every day life.

Columns are architecture and structural engineering which structural elements that transmit through compression, the weight of the structure above to other structural elements below. In other words, a column is a compression member.A example of a column that the Greeks used is Doric Ionic and Corinthian orders, each with their own distinctive proportions and detailing. The column is the most significant element because it defines the general proportions.
