         <description><![CDATA[<p>Men of color programs and initiatives have been implemented in community colleges to increase their academic success, sense of belonging, and overall engagement in higher education. Studies show that African-American and Latinx males graduate at lower rates than their white counterparts and have retention, persistence, and community college vertical transfer rates lower than those of their female peers. While these institutional efforts appear to offer positive social and emotional benefits, there is a significant gap in the systemic evaluation of their effectiveness in achieving concrete educational outcomes. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of men of color programs implemented in higher education by examining their impact on key student success outcomes, including retention, graduation, and transfer rates.</p>]]></description>
