PROFESSIONALISM WHILE WORKING WITH PEOPLE FROM MIGRANT AND REFUGEE BACKGROUND.

When i think about this, if someday i get sick and admitted to a hospital or healthcare facility, what kind of treatment i would want? Its obvious, a professional treatment from nurses and healthcare workers, working with dedication rather than someone providing me care just for the sake of them being a nurse and its their job. Clinicians should be culturally respectful as, the migrants, often times have different religions and beliefs.(MIGRANT AND REFUGEE WOMEN’S
HEALTH PARTNERSHIP,Culturally Responsive Clinical
Practice: Working with People
from Migrant and Refugee Backgrounds, pp30, 2019). I wonder if starting a communication with my patient would help me get them to open up about themselves with me. I will try to make my patient feel that I am similar to him/her. Hopefully this will make me gain their trust that they can share their background with me. This way i will be able to point out their beliefs and faith and keep them in mind during their stay with me and be culturally considerate.

SOCIAL DETERMINANTS AFFECTING HEALTH OF MIGRANTS/REFUGEES

Usually people do not trust someone whom they do not know. Therefore they do not give out their accommodations to strangers. Thus, people do find it difficult to find accommodation on the accounts of being of a different race, sex, caste, religion etc..... Another thing which is associated with housing such as water, place to eat food, protection from weather etc. A migrant person such as a person living on temporary residency or a student or even a refugee is at the risk of job insecurity. Being a part time employee, no doubt, gives a person, the sense of job security but the income is significantly lower than that of the casual employees. In the case of being a casual employee a person is guaranteed higher income but they are at a risk of being fired without any notice. One way is that face to face interviews should be removed and only resume and CV should be accepted as this would take out the human's tendency to be bias and only the person's talent would be taken into consideration. In Australia, it is unlawful to discriminate on the basis of a number of protected attributes including age, disability, race, sex, intersex status, gender identity and sexual orientation in certain areas of public life, including education and employment. People should be open and friendly to each other.

The biggest challenge for migrants is food security.Unavailability of nutrient rich food and clean water can led to various problems such as iron deficiency, anaemia and other blood conditions.(Chaves & Paxton, Australian Refugee Health Practice Guide, Anaemia, Iron Deficiency, and Other Blood Conditions,2023). One way to overcome this is by educating about iron-rich diet and avoid excessive dairy intake in children(Chaves & Paxton, Australian Refugee Health Practice Guide, Anaemia, Iron Deficiency, and Other Blood Conditions,2023).
Due to its harsh weather, Australia weather conditions can be harsh for skin leading to various skin infections.(Paxton et al ,2023).to overcome this, he skin should be examined as part of the initial physical examination.
Diseases brought in from elsewhere is another issue faced by migrants. One of them is Malaria which mostly affects travellers from Papua New Guinea and India.(Phillips & Francis,Australian Refugee Practice Health Guide, Malaria,2023). All people with malaria should be treated by, or in consultation with, a specialist ID service.
in this video, a girl tells us about her experience.

There are a lot of Indian folk dances out there such as bharatnatyam, garba and kathakali but one of the most energising one is bhangra. Bhangra was first originated in punjab as a way of celebrating various functions, parties etc... The steps Innvolved in this dance are really energising and the person watching another person doing it cannot hold their feet still. Everybody just seems to get mesmerised by people doing bhangra in a group. Overall, it is a fun little way to improve our dance skills and stay fit.

Just watch the video and see for yourself!!!!!!

Although Cricket is England's national game but for Indians, it is much more than that. Sports such as football, hockey, basketball, and tennis typically demand great physical strength, height, and fitness, which the majority of India's people lacks. The majority of sports can be difficult to play because of the genetic makeup of the people of India. Indians are strong and physically fit, which are qualities that enable them to play cricket competitively.POST, G.
