FLIGHT TICKET COSTING 

This control order is made under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967. This Movement Control Order includes;

1. General prohibition of mass movements and gatherings across the country including religious, sports, social and cultural activities. To enforce this prohibition, all houses of worship and business premises should be closed, except for supermarkets, public markets, grocery stores and convenience stores selling everyday necessities. Specifically for Muslims, the adjournment of all religious activities in mosques and mosques including Friday prayers is in line with the decision of the Special Mental Health Committee meeting on March 15, 2020.

 

2. Sanctions cover all Malaysians traveling abroad.  For those who have just returned from overseas, they are required to undergo a health check and to do a quarantine (or self quarantine) for 14 days;

 

3. Restrictions on the entry of all tourists and foreign visitors into the country;

4. Closure of all kindergartens, government and private schools including daily schools, boarding schools, international schools, tahfiz centers and other primary, secondary and pre-university institutions;

5. Closure of all public and private higher education institutions (IPTs) and skills training institutes nationwide;

6. Closure of all government and private premises except those involved in essential services (water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, postal, transportation, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel, lubricants, broadcasting, finance, banking,  health, pharmacy, fire, prison, port, airport, safety, defense, cleaning, retail and food supply.

The following is the essence of the CMCO announced by PM:

 • Restaurants are allowed to operate, observing the business SOP which includes social distancing and recording the names and telephone numbers of customers and the dates of their visit.

 •Cinemas, karaoke centres, reflexology centres, entertainment centres, night clubs, theme parks, Ramadan bazaars, Aidilfitri bazaars, shopping carnivals and all forms of conferences and exhibitions are not allowed.

 • Sports activities involving large gatherings, body contact and other risks of infection are also not allowed, including football, rugby, swimming and all indoor and stadium sports events.

 •Outdoor sports activities which do not involve body contact and in small groups such as badminton or tennis outdoors without an audience, jogging, cycling, golf and running comprising of not more than 10 persons are allowed on condition social distancing is practised.

 • Social, community and cultural events which involve large gatherings such as feasts, open houses, break-of-fast events, concerts, cultural shows, monthly assemblies of government departments and the private sector, as well as all types of official events and assemblies are not permitted.

 • Religious activities such as religious marches, Friday prayers and all congregational or assembly activities in mosques, surau and houses of worship are also not allowed.

 • Inter-state travel is not allowed except for work purposes and to return home after being stranded in the hometowns or elsewhere.

 • Inter-state travel to go back to the hometown for the Aidilfitri festival holidays is not allowed.

 • For now, all schools, colleges and tertiary institutions are still not opened.

 • The full list of businesses or activities which are not allowed (to operate) can be obtained at the National Security Council’s website. It is updated from time to time, depending on the development of Covid-19 cases.

 • All employers are urged to implement flexible working hours as part of the effort to prevent congestion at public transportation stations and in public vehicles.

 • Public and private sector employees are encouraged to work from home as the new normal.

 • Employers should give some leeway to married couples to work on alternate days, thus helping solve the problem of childcare.

 • Avoid congestion at bus, LRT and MRT stations.

 • Practise wearing masks and always bring along the hand sanitiser when outside the home.

For the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Centre cluster, a total of 1,536 samples were taken from 1,422 detainees and 114 staff. Of these, 126 confirmed COVID-19 cases were detected, 514 tested negative and 896 samples are still awaiting results.

For the Semenyih Immigration Detention Centre cluster, a total of 1,757 samples were taken from 1,630 detainees and 127 staff. Of these, 66 confirmed COVID-19 cases were detected, 753 tested negative and 938 samples are still awaiting results.

To date, cumulatively there are 227 confirmed COVID-19 cases from the three Immigration Detention Centres clusters, involving non-Malaysians:

Of the 57 additional cases reported today, 10 are imported cases who were infected overseas. Of the 47 locally transmitted cases, 43 cases are non-Malaysians, whereby:

The remaining 4 cases are local transmission amongst Malaysians.

The cases in this cluster consisted of 14 cases among Malaysians and 242 cases among non-Malaysians, as follows:

 • 136 Nepalese nationals

 • 55 Bangladeshi nationals

 • 26 Myanmar nationals

 • 21 Indonesian nationals

 • 3 Indian nationals

 • 1 Vietnamese national

The additional cases were detected from repeated screening of individuals within the quarantine period at the quarantine centre. They are still isolated in the quarantine center and therefore do not pose any risk of transmission to the community.
