Finally, when they got in they rejoiced then went to their white tent in the refugee camp. Mahmoud's father also met up with a smuggler who could bring them from Turkey to Greece and wanted asylum. Then Mahmoud saw a wedding car, when all of a sudden the engine made a sound similar to a gun's and everybody ducked in fear. While Mahmoud's heart was still racing his father got them a ride but can't find everybody else.

However Josef's father wasn't happy of the Nazi flag and wanted to fight back but Josef held him back, then they slid the body into the ocean.

They tried to turn on the engine but it didn't work, then they tried to make a fire but they realised that if they rescue them, they'll just send them back to Cuba. So, they tried the engine again, and tried several times until... it worked! They dodgged the tanker just in time but the wave the tanker made almost swallowed the boat, then Senor Castillo fell into the ocean. Isabel dove into the water trying to save him.

Then they went away Mahmoud was Super tired he felt like he was going to fall anytime. Finally, they found a place to stay but a police officer told them they couldn't sleep there. Mahmoud saw a car and ran in front of it, he pleaded for help but 2 cars drove away. Finally, 1 car stopped and offered to let them stay at his office. While in the car Mahmoud's father got a message that the boat was here. This time the boat was here.

Then at the line all of them passed the test, but when they were about to leave they were stopped, an officer was blocking the exit and he said that the actual medical test was tomorrow.

Today another ship called the SS Flandre was also allowed in before them. Then out of nowhere Schiendick and other officials went to Josef and told him that his parent's room was to be searched. They tore his room apart and ruined everything, they shattered and threw everything until there was nothing else to break.

The lifeboats descended into the waters, and boats were launched by the harbour but none of them were going to make it on time. When the policemen reached Josef’s father he struggled, he didn’t want to be saved. Then they were gathered on the boat. Then someone shot the shark making it turn away, and Josef’s father tried to jump into the ocean once again but failed. The Cuban government would never let them in now, not with a crazy father, a sleeping mother, and a crying daughter. They would be sent back to Germany

Then they were set on the island of Lesbos, there were piles and piles of life jackets, and there were also bodies.

Mahmoud awoke when the car stopped, surrounded in dark forests, then Mahmoud saw the taxi driver with a pistol right at their heads.

They were getting sent back to Germany and Josef's mother was going back to the dance floor to dance. Then a guy told Josef that they were going to force the captain to go back to America.

Eventually they worked with the crew and decided to sail to England.

It was painful, he was also placed into a truck full of refugees, and his hands and legs were tied. Soon they were brought into prison, they were getting tortured, then, they were thrown into a cage. They tried pleading that they were innocent but it was of no use. Instead, his father got beaten. At the processing center they Mahmoud and his father found his mother and Wallee. Now they were going to be sent back to Syria and if they returned to Hunagry they would be arrested.

Eight months after Garmany invaded French, Josef and his mother and sister were on the run again!

The coast guard ships were gonna catch them, they weren't gonna make it. They paddled as hard as they could, Lito recalled the story when he was a police guard, these Jewish refugees were coming to Cuba but Lito didn't let them in, Lito felt guilty. He kissed Isabel and jumped into the sea. Isabel cried for Lito, then they soon realized that Lito jumped into sacrifice. The coastguard saved Lito, they were going to bring him back to Cuba while the rest of his family was in Miami.

They had no more joy anymore, after everything they'd been through they wouldn't be able to make it to Germany anymore. Out of nowhere the UN came, Mahmoud knew it meant the United Nations, Mahmoud took this chance and tried to catch their attention but nothing worked. Due to this they decided that they were going to walk to Austria.

Then the Nazis saw them, began screaming, and a bullet hit a tree less than a meter away from them. They saw a house and pleaded for help. The Nazis caught them 2 guns were pointing at them and Josef's right arm was bleeding from the window. Even though Josef's mother tried buying their way out it wasn't enough and they were going to the concentration camp. But it was enough to buy freedom for one child, one would go to the camp and one would stay with Josef's mother

Amara, Isabel and Senor Castillo were pulling the boat to the shore, they were almost there. That's when Isabel heard her brother cry. This was a special moment for Isabel. Isabel's father let Isabel carry little Mariano to the shore so the others could carry mommy to the shore. They were on United Nations soil, the coast guard went back to the water, and in the crowd that was cheering for them was Isabel's grandfather, Isabel lifted her brother. They made it, they had dry feet now.

Their family didn't know German and they didn't know Arabic, their house was very nice and they were Jewish. The old woman gave Wallee a white rabbit, she was a toy designer. The old woman said that she was a Refugee once and showed him a picture of her family. Her father died, and no country would accept them so they went to England just in time for the war. Then when the Nazi found them they gave her mother an option to save her brother or her so her brother chose for her. He was called Josef, he always wanted to be a grown up. She only survived because an old French couple helped her. She tried looking for her mother and father but they both died at the concentration camp.
