      <description>This professional development workshop is geared toward teachers of grades 3-12 who would like to integrate the history and culture of the African American experience through the history of Jazz. The teachers will explore and experience through discussion and song the contributions of African American Musicians and the roots of this great American Musical Genre. Artists discussed will include Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Chuck Brown. The participants will also learn Jazz Vocabulary and sing Scat.</description>
