This book is about a girl who tried out for the baseball team. While learning how to deal with her fathers passing, she has to earn the respect of her coaches, her teammates, and even her mother. 

I liked that this book was something I could relate to personally.

This book is a memoir by Ron Hall detailing his friendship with a homeless man named Denver Moore. Denver Moore was born in Louisiana, where he worked as a sharecropper until he hopped a train and moved to Texas. (Denver was basically still a slave to someone) Ron Hall was a modest soup salesman, but he became a rich, successful art dealer because of this he grew accustomed to a lavish lifestyle. However, his wife, Debbie, becomes deeply involved in charity work, and she introduces him to Moore. Despite their many differences, Hall and Moore strike up what is hoped to be a kindling friendship. 

The thing I loved most about this book was even though Ron and Denver are from two different worlds, Debbie brought them together in the most beautiful way. I couldn't say there was anything in particular that I didn't like.

This book takes place in a dystopian society in which books and many other forms of learning are banned.  If you are caught with books, your house is burned by firefighters.  One of these firefighters is Guy Montag.  One day, Montag meets a girl named Clarisse.  Clarisse has a different view on the world in comparison to the society.  She thinks very deeply and pays attention to small details.  This makes Montag begin to question the views of the society.

I liked that this book was a dystopian novel that was very relevant to some of the things going on today. I did not like that the book had a slow start.

Lennon, a teenage girl, is pushed off her feet when her older sister, Bailey, dies from a sudden arrhythmia while rehearsing for her play. Stricken with grief, the book follows Lennon through her journey with grief. Throughout the book, Lennon meets new love interests, learns more about her missing mother, and realizes that she is not the only one affected by her sister's sudden passing. The book is filled with enlightenment, understanding, and its fair share of misunderstandings.

I personally had mixed feelings about the book. On one hand, the book does an excellent job of portraying the stages of grief, and how it affects someone's life and way of thinking. But on the other hand, the characters feel very trope based, as well as just being unlikable. The main character is fine for the first half, but later on, she grows more and more confusing with her choices.
