Small Group Work

One way that I could use AR in my classroom is by intergrading it into small group work. When I am working with a small group of students who maybe struggling with reading I can have some of the students using this as a way to help them practice their reading skills. I think that this would be a great way to use AR because it gives the students practice with their reading skills but also allows them to be more engaged in the book because of the AR aspect.

Individual Reading

A second way that I could use AR in my classroom is by allowing some students to use it during individual reading time. During this time I would try to focus on the students who are still struggling with reading skills. Individual reading I think is a really good time to give the students who are struggling the AR books because it will help them focus better on the information that they are reading. The AR books will be seen as a fun book option so the students who read them during this time will be more engaged and interested in the book.

A way that I can use VR in my classroom is by buying a some of the Google Cardboards. These are inexpensive VR that use a smart phone to create the virtual reality. I can use this as a way for the students to review different topics. I can look for review games for the lessons that I am teaching and see if I can find some that would work with the Google Cardboards. This would be a great tool for the classroom because it allows students to be more interactive while reviewing the content from the lesson.

Another way that I could use VR if we are discussing a certain place I can look it up on Google Earth so that my students can see it and have a better understanding of the lesson. This would be very useful if I was teaching the students geography because I could show them places from all over the world. Using this in my classroom as a resource would be very good because I feel that this is a resource that will keep the students focused and interested because they will be actually looking at the location. Students will focus better and have a better understanding of the content

I can use thinglink as a resource in my classroom to create interactive images and videos for my students. This would be good because I can use this during my main lesson, small groups or even create ones for specific students. When creating these I can personalize them to specific students needs. If a student is struggling in a subject then I can create an interactive video or image to help them practice the skills that they need help with.
