They don’t have the judgment to know what is right and wrong in unfamiliar situations and they can never replace a human in this way (Data Flair). Along with not having values and knowing right from wrong, artificial intelligence also cannot be creative like a human. “Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence – A Threat or a Blessing?” observes that AI cannot replicate the creativity that a human has. They can’t come up with the same unique ideas and designs that humans can (Data Flair). While AI has issues performing like a human, they can perform more effectively than them, which would put many people out of jobs. ProCon.org cautions that AI can cause a rise in unemployment rates, as they can perform work cheaply and more effectively than humans, and may soon replace them (ProCon.org). Not only will they cause mass unemployment, they also cost a lot of money to use. “Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence – A Threat or a Blessing?” argues that AI also requires large sums of money to buy. Apart from the costs of installing and maintenance, if it breaks, the costs for repair and replacement are also high (Data Flair). Artificial intelligence has also been known to sell people’s information, resulting in privacy issues. ProCon.org remarks that AI could lead to invasions in privacy. AI can record people without them knowing and then in turn give it to others without their consent (ProCon.org).

This accomplishment means that complicated problems are going to be solved without inaccuracy (Data Flair). In addition to being more accurate, robots also don’t have emotions. While having emotions can sometimes be a good thing, as discussed previously, they can also complicate decision making. “Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence – A Threat or a Blessing?” explains that humans may make decisions based on emotions and how they are feeling. However, when robots make decisions, emotions aren’t a problem. They always think rationally (Data Flair). AI also works more efficiently and is able to get more done. “Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence – A Threat or a Blessing?” remarks that AI and robots don’t need breaks for them to be working for long periods of time.They also do not get distracted or bored, which is an improvement to humans, because they need consecutive breaks in order to maximize productivity (Data Flair). Not performing like a human can benefit the workplace. Not only do AI and robots make the workplace better, they also make the workplace safer. ProCon.org adds that AI can replace or help humans in dangerous jobs where their lives may be at risk. Humans can get tired and stressed which can cause accidents at work. AI however, does not get tired or stressed and can reduce mishaps that can put worker’s lives in danger (ProCon.org). AI has many positive uses in the industries, but they can also make people’s lives better in general. ProCon.org expresses that AI can improve lives and the way that they are lived. Why should people wait in traffic when AI can guide us to a quicker route home? Why struggle to find a light switch when AI can turn on the lights with a simple command? AI can make humans’ lives easier and more enjoyable (ProCon.org). AI and robots can help out in different ways in workplaces and peoples’ lives. They can help make the world a better place.
