It was in the 19th century where poaching got popular. In 1897 there was only 30 Rhinos left in South Africa! And did you know that Black Rhinos and White Rhinos are Grey? The white Rhino was a mistake that it was called that, it was wide rhino cause if have a wide mouth! Today there is 11.000 White rhinos and about 1200 Black rhinos left because of poaching. 2 black rhino horns is worth about 50.000 Dollars!

Buffalo

A Buffalo can weigh up to 850 Kg. It has big horns and it uses them to fight and scare other animals! It lives on terrains with water and grass, and you can find them in savannahs, woodlands and forest regions. They is nearly always walking to find fresh grass. Buffalo's lives in big herds. The strongest male walk with the females and their calves. A buffalo have many parasites and the birds stands on their back and eat them, so you can say that it's a win win. The only animal that hunts the Buffalo is the lion, but they will always defend themselves and sometimes they kill the lion.

The leopard is called the prince of darkness, because it mostly hunts at night. The leopard can hunt almost everywhere! The leopard is the part of the big cats, cause it looks like a cat and moves like a cat. But it can weigh up to 70 kg! The leopard eats almost everything and if lions or hyenas disturb it, it will take the food up in a tree.

The lion is called the king of beast because of it's weight and it's size. It can weigh up to 200 kg. It can run up to 50 km/h and jump 12 meters. The mothers stay with their cubs. The girl lions will stay till they is grown up, and the males will leave. The females are protected by the grown up males. A dead buffalo can give meat for a whole week for the lion.
