I feel so lucky to have known Zoey while she was in my 4th grade class. Every day I looked forward to her walking through our classroom door. She was the sweetest, kindest, most loved student, and she was such a bright light in our class. I treasure the time I was able to spend with her and get to know her. We used to spend time chatting during recess times when she wasn't feeling up for running around, and I enjoyed learning more about her and sharing so many laughs. Zoey was kind, curious, loving, and strong. Sending all of my thoughts and prayers to you.

Building relationships with students, creating memories, and learning alongside each other keeps me returning to the classroom each day. Zoey was one of those students who fit into each one of those puzzle pieces! She worked hard to connect with teachers, students, and staff and never missed a moment to show others how much they meant to her. Her giggles and curiosity made learning and teaching fun and exciting! She was never at a loss for words and was always willing to share a story, idea, or opinion at just the right moment! The joy she brought to my classroom for the last two years will stay with me for much longer! Sending love to her and all who were impacted and loved by her! My thoughts will remain with Zoey's family during this time.

I am so deeply grateful for the time I got to spend with Zoey as her librarian. Zoey had such a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and truly special, just by being in her presence, and I feel so lucky that she chose to spend time with me. I have such fond memories of starting our days together (she was always SO excited to set her goals for the day!) and ending our days together and celebrating her wins for the day. I never quite knew what I did to deserve her kindness, love, and attention - but I wouldn’t trade our time together for the world. We had so many silly, sweet moments together, talking about favorite foods and unicorns and sharing highlights from our days. I miss her bright, sparkly presence more than I can put into words and I will forever hold her spirit close in my heart.
