On Rachael's 11th birthday, she wished that she was 102 years old after being accused that the ugly red sweater was hers. She wanted to be 102 years old because at that age, you are wise enough to to know how to respond. If Rachael was that old she would have known how to defend herself from Mrs. Price.

I wonder how this 102 year old lady responded to this?

Sammy is a great example that the decisions that we make in life can have consequences. Sammy desires to belong to something that truly he doesn't belong to. The women symbolize "distraction" from the moment they walk into the store. This is a picture of the movie "Mean Girls." The girl on the far left (Lindsay Lohan) is a great reminder that it's important to stay true to yourself and run your race, not "Others."

If you have seen the movie "Django" you will see a resemblance to "Desiree's Baby." In the movie we have a scene where the owner of the plantation's daughter has a baby out of wedlock and the baby is mixed. The father has to come to senses that his daughter had sexual relation with one of his slaves. We learn an important lesson through both "Desiree's Baby" with Armand and "Django" The plantation owner, that pride over your race and ignorance can come to bite you eventually.

Charlie unfortunately has a broken relationship with his father that he wants to hold onto as much as possible. But comes to find he must let go.
